For as much as the PS4 has dominated the Xbox One this generation, the different in North America is like 4 million or something.  PS4's dominance is due to its popularity globally.  Here in the states sales haven't been nearly as dominant for Sony.

I swear I only want a PS5 now because of this forum's hype. The only game I'm even vaguely interested in at launch is a remake, with seemingly no added content, I already sank 200+ hours into and know like the back of my hand...yet this thread makes me wanna order one of these things.

I have no allegiance to any company and dgaf who "wins" but from my purely anecdotal evidence everyone I know who has bought an xbox one, and/or plans to buy a series s/x they're super casual players who only buy a couple of sports games and Call of Duty.

 

I don't see how that's a sustainable business model if they're not drawing anyone in with new exclusives, but the lower price of the series S and the possibility of XBL gold going free would be a huge step in the right direction.

My brother in law has an X1

 

strictly plays sports. Only sports. That’s all. Period. He’s also buying a series X day one. why? Who knows. I’d not spend $500 to play NBA2k and Madden lol

There is very little chance that opportunistic scalpers won’t try and buy up as much Xbox stock as possible directly before the Christmas buying season, regardless of the actual demand for the product. They can create false supply issues which drive up the value of the stock they acquire.

Yup.

 

Best of luck to all who want one. I have no desire to buy an S/X atm but I’ll try to help with keeping tabs on stock for Canadian board members that do when they go live.

Pretty positive that poll would have swung the other way last gen with 360 being the more popular console. People stick with what they know until something better comes along.
