Judging from the trailers from some of the other stuff coming to Disney+, it looks like the production values are through the roof. I doubt a theatrical release would be a major draw for the masses, but Disney realizes that while Marvel and Star Wars are huge,, that doesn't necessarily appeal to everyone in the core uberDisney demographic.
