NuScale power module becomes the first SMR design certified by the NRC.

 

 

Nice. My province intends to build these in 10-20 years to get us away from coal/natural gas. Most of Canada has plentiful hydro power, but the prairies don't, so nuclear is the best option moving forward (and is actually being championed by Conservatives).

NASA and DARPA will cooperate on the development and flight demonstration of a nuclear propulsion system with applications for both agencies.

 

 

In case you were wondering, this is one of the projects that I support in my role at DARPA.
