CastletonSnob
Netflix Q2 Earnings Show 970,00 Subscribers Dumped Service WWW.THEWRAP.COM Despite the success of "Stranger Things 4," the market-leading streamer lost customers for the second consecutive quarter With baffling decisions like making live-action adaptations of One Piece and Yu Yu Hakusho, I'm not surprised Netflix is bleeding subscribers. Netflix Touts Record 7.7% Share Of Total TV Viewing In June, Defends Binge-Release Model As Key Part Of Its “Significant Long Term Business Advantage” DEADLINE.COM Netflix said its share of total TV viewing in the U.S. hit an all-time high of 7.7% in June and defended its signature binge release method. Netflix says the binge model is a "significant long-term business advantage". Netflix is so out of touch, it's hilarious. Imagine if Disney+ dropped all the episodes for a season of The Mandalorian or WandaVision at once.
Derek
I'll probably cancel sometime today and if they ask me why, I'll say because The Ozark finale sucked. Also, I'm not paying extra for my girlfriend's mom to watch one Netflix movie a month.
Mr.Vic20
I've seen stranger things.
Commissar SFLUFAN
Netflix originally projected a 2 million subscribers loss to analysts, so this counts as a "win" for them.
Guest
And the stock price is up because they expected double the drop and the ad supported tier announcement
TheLeon
I’m gonna cancel mine, but I’ll be back in a few months. That’s how I treat all these services.
SaysWho?
It's funny how one of the big things about Netflix when it first started moving into streaming and House of Cards/Orange Is The New Black first came out was how you could watch the whole season at your own pace and what a great thing that was. Now we're trotting out episodes weekly again and getting them all at once is considered out of touch. I'm not saying it's funny because it's wrong; I'm saying it's funny for me to be at an age where things that used to be more primitive or old-fashioned are now popular again and I'm witnessing it happen in real time. I assume the narrative has changed because it isn’t financially viable to continue to produce a ton of content and releasing it all at once. I can’t imagine subscribers care much either way. Phaseknox
The Munsters movie will bring back all of the people who unsubscribed.

Last month I was ready to cancel HBO Max for a while, but they offered me 3 months at half price if I didn’t unsubscribe.
stepee
I haven’t watched much on it lately, been watching a lot of Hulu. But I like having a large variety of offerings, so I’ll keep my Dad’s account, FOR NOW.
Mercury33
I just discovered the show Alone so they’ve got me for while I watch all these haha
DarkStar189
Most of their newer content doesn't appeal to me in any way. The only series I've watched in the last 6 months that I can remember is Stranger Things. If it wasn't for my kids using the service everyday I would have dumped it by now.
