DarkStar189 Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 We all know the trouble the United States Postal Service has had lately. Have you been directly affected by this? My grandmother paid her Discover card by mail last month and they never received the check. My dad sent in a car payment by check that was never received. Yesterday I got a Christmas card in the mail that our friend said they dropped in the mail December 8th. Hoping if anyone here is doing any important business you have better luck. Quote

Not recently, but back in April I mailed my rent check to my landlord from Jersey to California a week before it was due and they never got it. I overnighted another check to them which they recieved... they then got my original check three weeks later I haven't had any issues since. I think it depend s on what part of the country you're in... I was talking to a buddy of mine who is in Detroit and he said mail there is abysmal. Whoch makes sense since Michigan was a battleground state. Quote
Pikachu Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 Over the holidays I had some delays with packages, but I have gotten everything one time since the start of the new year. Quote
Jason Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 My mom sent me a package on December 9 that didn't show up until the start of this month and the contents were ruined because they'd been sitting in 0 degree overnight weather in New Jersey for most of that time. Quote
Keyser_Soze Posted January 22, 2021 Posted January 22, 2021 The mailman put someone else's package in my mailbox the other day, but that's about it. Actually, I'm one of those weirdos who get discs from Netflix and they used to receive the disc like 2 days after I mailed it. Now it varies from like 3 days to a week. Quote

Remarkableriots Posted January 22, 2021 Posted January 22, 2021 Yeah my 8 12 packs of Mtn Dew were supposed to arrive Wednesday, December 16, 2020 by 8pm and it still shows it running late! How am I supposed to do the Dew if USPS never delivered it! Quote

Iculus Posted January 23, 2021 Posted January 23, 2021 We use postal pallets to ship everything at Amazon. At one point we had to almost completely switch to wooden pallets due to a national shortage. It's slowly getting better, but we are still stupid busy. Quote

Several years ago I took a picture of a pile of blue pallets at my work and put it on flickr. Sometime after I noticed someone favorited it. All his pictures were just pictures of a bunch of blue pallets. There's truly a fetish out there for everyone! Quote
