It's really fascinating to watch as one political party takes up stances that are now considered so offensive to the other side that simply espousing them puts you on a shit list. I mean, these are now fairly mainstream opinions... and yet, a huge swath of the populace finds them disgustingly offensive. I'm right there too, I unloaded an obscenity laced rant about her idiocy and yet her getting canned makes me feel kinda gross. It's interesting how a lot of people with right-leaning political thoughts now feel free to speak a lot more openly about things like this in the era of Trump. I'm a jew and honestly, I was less offended by the comparison to Nazis as I was by just how idiotic and stupid it for someone who is in a party that enables a man like trump to be complaining about hateful rhetoric in politics. Like, shut your fucking face with that shit. You may not have that opinion. It's so fucking lacking in self awareness that it makes me want to punch things. I'm not happy about her getting fired, but I also think she is a big dopey dipshit. I have mixed feelings.

I think they could have done the $1,400 and had a little pushback and maybe deserved some of that after driving home the $2,000 over and over... but if they start screwing with income levels and other stuff, at some point it's going to bite them in the ass.

I don't doubt she was scared and had every right to be... but the language she was using in the days after the riot made it sound much much worse. She kept hinting around about some sort of run-in with bad actors... and it turns out it was a police officer? And he was kinda weird and grumpy? I don't know. You can make your point without giving your opponents extra material to work with. She surely could have seen this coming? She knows how the right processes everything. She knows how the game works, she knows they don't accept anything from her in good faith. Don't lob them softballs.

Oh yeah, Fox News has gone completely over the edge since Biden won. Their daily headlines are fucking hilarious. You get the sense that rather than just reporting the news, they have a group of people sitting around a table and strategizing the best way to spin the days news into a series of headlines that their dopey audience will read and take in and let sink in. They do this knowing no one reads most of the articles. The crazy evil deceptive headlines (and total shit garbage stories) paint an insane picture of pure propaganda and manipulation. The spin is literally dripping off the page. I know none of this is new information, but I had kinda forgotten what Fox News looked like when they were playing offense and not defense. They are so much better at picking at every scab and spinning it into that batshit bullshit tornado.
