With gsync it doesn’t matter where vsync is activated (in game or forced). With frame gen you want to force it in the control panel, though.

It's recommended to have vsync on with gsync actually. I'm not playing it yet, I'm still balls deep in BG3 so there was no way I was going to pay an extra $32 or whatever when I can just wait

Installed the new motherboard yesterday. I think everything's fine now? Today, Windows wanted to "update" my mail settings, afterwards I noticed that there was the Windows Activation watermark on the bottom right. I tried the troubleshooter to see what was wrong and it was saying I had a Win10 Home key but not a Pro key (I have Win10 home on another computer). After some searching I dug out my Win10 Pro key, entered it, and Windows said the key was no longer valid. I've had this key since 2018 and used it across multiple systems so it wasn't an OEM key with only a single motherboard use; weird AF. I bought a new one for $15 though. Only thing I can think of is that it was one of those "high volume" keys that can expire (5+ years seems excessive, though)

FWIW, they were bought by Renault awhile back and basically lost all R&D money, it's why they, and especially their luxury brand Infinity, have fallen so hard over the past 8-10ish years and there's been so few "new" or innovative models put out by either of them. They recently got out from under Renault (no longer a majority holder) and it's why there's finally a new Z. Infinity is such a shame, the G35 and G37 were absolute icons.

Oh, I'm not trying to convince you to go buy an XSX and play these games. Just stating that they are AAA and the SP is very good on both of them. I have no idea why Microsoft doesn't bring back all of their great first party IPs from the 90s/2000s. Nah, it's just Apoc, no free games for that type of drama!

Oh, and I want to be clear, I'm not saying MSFT is some big first party AAA powerhouse - but give credit where it's due, damn it!

I always play it SP. In fact, I hate playing it online The experience between SP and MP is more-or-less the same, except it's real people instead of AI drivers.

I think saying "no, those games don't count" is what's actually kinda stretching it tbh
