  1. Microsoft reveals subscription pricing for using Windows 10 beyond 2025, and it's not cheap | Windows Central WWW.WINDOWSCENTRAL.COM Customers will need to pay $61 per device, which will double every year for three years, to remain secure on Windows 10.
  2. Many on the list in your first link had 2-3 seasons, so I definitely would call that multiple years of seasons. The rest of your post is incredibly anecdotal and subjective. That list you gave are shows from over the course of 10+ years. Every network cancels a ton of shows every year, the avg for broadcast TV is apparently over 25% for the past year, and it seems that the normal avg is over a third. Other networks don’t cancel cult favorites? My guy, (off the top of my head) look at Firefly, Sarah Connor Chronicles, Don't Trust the Bitch In Apartment 23, Dollhouse, Lucifer (saved by Netflix btw), etc, etc, etc. I mean, how many times did Fox cancel Family Guy and Futurama? All under performing shows get canned, Netflix actually seems to be better about not canceling than most others TV networks going by the percentages on that chart, and that’s my entire point. I’m not saying that they don’t cancel shows that should’ve had a better chance or more seasons, I’m saying that they don’t seem to actually be worse than anyone else with it.
  3. It’s tiny compared to, like, CBS, though. Many of those shows were quite bad to mediocre and not exactly high budget. ie: Dark Crystal wasn’t good, IMO, and its budget was about a third of some of Netflix's most expensive shows. Plus, as you noted, many of those had multiple years of seasons, and in regards to Glow (which I loved), it was filming the final season but then the pandemic hit, which is why it was canned without getting the finale (this happened to a lot of shows during the pandemic unfortunately). I mean, sure, there’s a bunch of good ones on that list, but I can name great shows that were cancelled on every network: that’s my point, this “Netflix cancels everything!” talking point is, well, just a talking point. They aren’t any worse than this than almost any other network.
  4. What’s defining “big budget”, though? The biggest budget ones at Netflix typically seem to have multiple seasons and an actual “final season”, don’t they? I know some absolutely bombed and were canned, of course. The only big budget Netflix show that was canned “out of nowhere” that I can recently remember is “the get down” or whatever it was called, but that did terribly anyway iirc. Just kinda seems like a myth that got started by reddit trolls or something, I dunno. It just seems incredibly exaggerated. Anywho, looks like broadcast TV is way higher: https://www.chartr.co/stories/2023-09-20-2-streaming-platforms-cancelling-shows I’d argue that Max is skewed a bit due to all the cancellations from the merger, but Disney, Paramount, and Hulu are all a lot worse than Netflix with cancellations it seems.
  5. Given current pricing, I don't really think that's worth it; the 5800x3D still goes for over $300 and you can get an AM5 bundle with a 7800x3D for less than $200 more: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX v2, G.Skill Flare X5 Series 32GB DDR5-6000 Kit, Computer Build Bundle - Micro Center WWW.MICROCENTER.COM Get it now! 6. The GV60 is incredible. Make sure to rub the orb (you'll know when you see it )
  7. Tesla’s haven’t been the best EV for a few years now, so all you guys not wanting one are just making good decisions
  8. Never really understood this. Isn’t Netflix’s cancellation rate like 10-12%? That’s a lot lower than the average for network TV, isn’t it?
  9. Yea, you need to constantly switch who you’re controlling. The tactic I used was to fill an ATB bar, select an ability to use on the Mindflayer, and immediately switch (before the ability/spell was cast) to another character and do the same thing. I also tried to use abilities that took awhile to cast and wouldn’t typically hit more than a single enemy (ie: Cloud’s triple slash almost always strikes at least two enemies, so I’d use fireblade or whatever it’s called, or I’d get him to 2x bars and use infinity’s end). Still took 2 or 3 tries, such a pita.
  10. 5700, assuming it’s a 5700x not the 5700g, isn’t far off from a 5900x for gaming. It’d be fine with a 4090 until you upgrade. I’d argue the “ehhhh” zone is the aforementioned 5700g and prior gen Ryzens (3000 series and lower) - my CPU question was mostly making sure your Ryzen 7 wasn’t a 3700x-3900x or lower Either way, I’d argue to look at the 4080 Super as the performance difference to the 4090 isn’t worth the additional $600+ (MSRP) if you’re sticking to 1440p, IMO, and I feel like the 4070 Ti Super is kind of a waste of a card at its price point.
  11. They’re claiming it’s the “same as Trump” because Stewart was paying taxes on the assessed value while living there, and not the market value someone paid for it years later… their argument makes total sense unless you take 1 second to think about it
  12. I guess where I’m confused is that AM4/AM5 has those big plastic hook-things that coolers attached to, and most of the motherboards lack any type of hole to install a back-bracket. Are there coolers that require you to remove those plastic hook mounts? I thought they were universal.
  13. I’m still confused here - on my Corsair coolers you swap the bracket on the cooler itself (as the Intel one is installed by default: it just pulls off and you click the AMD one on), there’s nothing to swap on the motherboard and no need to access the back. On some Intel boards I’ve needed access to the back of the motherboard to install a bracket, however.
