  2. I said this later in the thread, but just to be absolutely clear - I do not think the shooting was justified. When I asked those questions of SFLU I was just confirming that he meant what he said; that the only situation where lethal force might be justified was if the attacker was armed. That's all. The attacker knocked the shooter to the ground and started advancing on him. The shooter drew his gun. If he had shot him right at this moment I might feel differently. But as soon as the weapon was shown, the attacker backed off and began walking away. As soon as the attacker is moving away the immediate risk of death/serious injury is nullified; showing the weapon was enough to end the threat. From this point on, firing the weapon was unnecessary and unjustified. The shooter should've stood up, moved away, and called the police.

Sniper rifle bullets no longer incorrectly stop when passing through certain trigger volumes. Eliminating players will now properly grant challenge progress. If the same player knocks out and eliminates an enemy with two different weapons, they will get elimination quest progress for both weapons. Players will no longer get stuck in the coasting state if they change seats while in a vehicle. Pickaxes will no longer stretch and appear incorrectly if the slow-motion effect plays while players are riding in a vehicle. Remote Explosives will now only show damage numbers when damage is done to players. Vehicles can no longer be flipped while standing on top of them. The Wave emote, emoticons, and sprays will now continue to play even if you’re moving. Many more changes came with this including audio changes and bug fixes, UI updates, art and animation fixes, and improvements to replays and for mobile users, and a big update for Save the World players. 4. As both a M:tG player and a D&D player and DM this is marketed right at me. On one hand Ravnica is a neat setting; a world of cities, literally. There is little to no undeveloped land. And the various guilds can make for some cool NPC interplay. On the other hand I'm hip deep in two Forgotten Realms campaigns right now and don't see myself halting them for a new setting anytime soon. It may be one I pick up down the road, or maybe just to read for the lore and not actually play.
  5. In that instance I was just clarifying SFLU's statement that the assailant being armed is the only reason to respond with deadly force. I wouldn't expect most people to behave rationally in any of those situations.
  6. Pretty much, yeah. It was a bad situation and he was understandably angry, but they have policies in place for dealing with abusive customers and he didn't follow them. Home Depot should've given more consideration to the context of the situation and their employee's years of apparently excellent service, but yeah..the employee reacted badly.
  7. Oh yeah not equally poorly by any stretch. Sorry if I accidentally implied that. Racist asshole, completely no excuse. Employee, broke company policy and made a low key threat, but it was understandable given the situation. Company should've taken the provocation into consideration and been willing to go to bat for their employee, but I can also see why they took the route they did.
  8. I like my job and get satisfaction from the results of my work. The day-to-day gets kind of tedious and dealing with organizational politics gets old, but at the end of the day I like what I do. The money is certainly nice; I wouldn't work for free or anything. But ultimately I'm content.
  9. After it happened on my first PS4 controller, I got these nub covers and they work great. I've picked up a pair for every new controller I've gotten.
  10. That's great. I thought I was making up a word because I couldn't come up with the right one. It sounds like a made up word. Yeah, wow. Even if it wasn't an inspector I've never understood how people can advocate deadly force in response to a property crime. I mean, if someone breaks into your home at night while your kids are sleeping or it's a home invasion type scenario...then yeah. It sucks but you have to protect your family. But I've heard people argue that you should shoot like..trespassers on your lawn or someone breaking into your car. I just don't get that.
  11. I generally agree with this, but I have a tough time making that call for other people. I can see the argument that if you can only respond with equal opposing force, then you run into situations where overwhelming force can applied before you can respond. You're helpless against an attacker because you had to let it escalate to the point where it was too late before being able to respond with force sufficient to end the attack. In principle though, I agree. A shove doesn't deserve a lethal response and a standard of...reasonableness (I don't have a good word here) should have to be met before resorting to deadly force to stop someone. "I felt threatened" should not be an excuse to kill someone.
  12. I'm not attempting to justify anything. I was asking for opinions. All I asked was if people thought lethal force in self defense was ever OK and if it was where was the line for them. SFLU said his line was basically only if an attacker had a weapon, so I gave him those examples to clarify if he really meant only if the attacker was armed. He said still yes, which is all cool, and that was the end of it. You're reading something into it that I didn't intend.
  13. I use my PS4 and XBone on my basement and main living room TVs, and a Chromecast on my bedroom TV.
