'seem like he did a pretty good job' doesn't exactly make me want to run out and give him the HC nod. Again, not saying he isn't capable or wouldn't do fine. Just that I don't think he's an automatic shoe-in.

I'm not thrilled because I'm immediately biased against anything Dallas. That said, he's not a bad coach, but I'm a little bummed we didn't move in a different direction; we just finished the old-school defensive coach experiment and it didn't turn out great. But I'm rooting for him to be successful. As for EB...I mean..nothing that happened last year shows me that he should automatically be The Guy. I'm sure he's capable, but one season of "meh" offense isn't a great audition. He may not even be on the staff much longer.

Unfortunate. I thought it was a really fun show.

My truck is paid for and I figure it's got a good 10 years left on it if I take care of it. The Woman just bought an electric car so that's fun, but was expensive, including having a level 2 charger installed at my house so she doesn't have to go wait in line to charge it at a commercial station. My kids are who I worry about. They're both trapped in the whole "buying a shitty beater and running it until it dies then buying another because they can't afford anything that doesn't have problems" cycle. But even beaters are getting too expensive for them at this point.

Absolutely. When they announced the changes coming with "One D&D/6ed", I had one buddy who was a little upset about it. He didn't like where some of the focus was going and some of the rules changes. But the answer I gave him, and will give anyone, was simply, "Then ignore it and keep just doing what you're doing". It's not like video games where they patch in a nerf or something and you're stuck with it if you want to keep playing that game.

That's the thing; you can't ruin D&D. You can dislike the content they publish, but at the end of the day D&D is a ruleset that is, by design, malleable to your table's needs. Don't like what they publish? Don't use it. Don't like DNDBeyond, don't use it. We've played countless adventures that aren't WotC written, played for decades before DNDBeyond even existed, and have house-ruled shit every step of the way. Hell, I got one pal who still runs a 2nd Ed. game. Using WotC/Hasbro assets (including DnDB) are just matters of convenience.

Most of my seltzer drinking is grab'n'go/convenience and at most of the convenience stores around here the only seltzer options are Liquid Death and Perrier. I work with what I got.

Perrier has both an orange and a peach flavor that I like. Liquid Death sparkling lime is OK. Hop Watr blood orange flavor is pretty good too.

A good thing too, IMO. The guy clearly knows how to build front offices. How successful organizations are run. And once the FO in place, the new GM can lead the search for the coach.
