Is it anti-semetic now to criticise a country which would love nothing more than to do the same to you as was done to them 80 years ago? The Israeli people would have no problem with the slaughter of Muslims. It's one of the worst, most hateful nations in the world. But hey, 'Murica needs a friend in the middle east! Israel is the oppressor, not the other way around, and more people should call them out.

~Thread of Possible Impeachment~
TheGreatGamble replied to CitizenVectron's topic in The Political Re-Education Camp
lol, its funny that you think the GOP or any of it's supporters care about any crime Trump committed. And he loves the news cycle, good or bad. When its good he brags, and when its bad he rages to fire up his base. Impeachment will go nowhere, period. If anything, it'll siphon centrist voters to the right, because they are sick of rehashing the exact same talking points day after day. -
Gun owners don't need to be told what rifles they need. We already know. It's the people who know nothing about guns that are the problem, falsely claiming things like "An AR-15 is an assault rifle", its not true. "The killer had an AK-47 style rifle". Also not true. But their target audiance will eat it up! The problem has never been the guns. The problem is mental health and the internet having become a breeding ground for hate.

With a 5-4 supreme court, we are exactly who would be making the laws. If RGB goes during Trumps presidency, we can count on a strong gun lobby and support by the courts for the next two decades. The reporting on this has been such shit. The writer at CNN said he used an "AK-47" type rifle, it's clear she has no idea what an AK-47 is. I actually messaged her, suggesting she might want to correct it, it's an AR-15, and besides magazine capacity, it's no different than any other semi-automatic rifle. Her response was "I know nothing about guns, i'm just going to leave it as it is." Ummm, if you know nothing about guns, maybe you should not be reporting on them. Aren't reporters supposed to do research? Oh no, thats right, the major networks are propaganda, not news. And they are still reporting there might have been a second shooter, yet they have no evidence of it at all.

Debate thread, 2 debate 2 Democrat

Well, I agree, fuck Tapper and CNN, but CNN isn't speaking to republicans. They obviously focus on what the left needs to do. -
The Official Thread of Systemic Racism

Look, if its so dangerous for the kid to get hit by a ball, he never should have been playing a game where he got hit by a ball. There are tort laws that protect athletes from assault charges like this, and this kid got charged for one reason, Because he's black. The cop that charged this kid should be suspended, and the complaining mom needs to realise if her child can't be hit, he should not be playing contact sports. There really is a problem with people babying kids nowadays. Not everyone has to be able to do everything, life isn't fair. IMO, this is on the childs mom, who didn't inform the school her son couldn't play a game where people people regularly get hit in the face. Theres no more info needed. Suck it up and walk it off, or don't play. I'm sick of hearing parents scream every time children get knocked on their ass. The mom who called the cops is from the worst part of society. Helicopter parents are ruining their kids. -
The system may be broken, but most cops are good. Police should be a federal organization, with yearly psych and standards testing. And the code of conduct should be strictly enforced. Also, not having a working body camera should be an offense, and after, say, 3 strikes of not having it on for any reason, you are fired.

It would be nearly impossible to to make public transit better in this country. Cities just weren't designed for it. It's a great idea in theory, but it's never going to pan out. And Americans are not going to give up their cars to switch. Public transit has become a dirty word (or phrase, I guess), and I would say only a tiny minority of people even cares what happens to it. But, if you believe we have a carbon free future, I guess you can believe anything. There is no chance that the most selfish country in the world is suddenly going to embrace mass transit. It's mostly a non starter.

Use of roads isn't free. We pay for it in registration costs, tire taxes, road tolls, and other ways. People without vehicles don't pay those taxes and tolls. Instead they pay other transit fees. I don't get the want people have for everything to be free. Transportation, college, UBI, loan forgiveness, M4A (the only one I agree with, personally). Where does it end? Who is going to pay for it? The poor are taxed enough, and the idea of taxing the rich is a joke, they are the people paying their campaigns. Public transit in America is piss poor, and people avoid it for that reason, not because it costs a couple of bucks to use it.

How dare we expect people to take responsibility for their decisions and choices? I agree with you. Students want to be able to waste tens of thousands of dollars in a degree they can never make their money back with, and expect tax payers to fund it. It's ridiculous. Make better choices. Id be all for capping tuition, but not for student loan forgiveness.
