  1. How many conservatives shop at Target? Unless I see otherwise, the so-called boycott of Target is little more than a handful of angry shouting people.
  2. Now this..... THIS is a DOA campaign. Mike Pence expected to announce 2024 run for president WWW.NPR.ORG After distancing himself from former President Donald Trump, the former vice president is ready to announce his bid for the White House at an event in Des Moines, Iowa, on June 7.
  3. It looks better the more I see of it. It looks like they MIGHT be trying to put in some heart and depth, leaning more into the conflict of teenagers that want to fit in versus being mutant outcasts.
  4. Hmm a topic about D1P slowing down, let's see what people have to saaaa....oh fuck that.
  5. And after all that blustering about graphics card sales being down. Oh and after a hilariously cringy datacenter presentation.
  6. Cathartic, right? I go in for a job interview Thursday so I can hopefully tell my current job goodbye.
  7. Yeah The Network is one of those movies I think about off and on. The things it has to say (other than the murder conspiracy plot) are so prescient and endlessly relevant. In a way it's the most modern movie of the 1970s. Glad you saw it because it seems like the kind of movie you should definitely have seen, @SaysWho?.
  8. "Make America Florida" Oh yeah that's really catchy. What an inspiring slogan. And it definitely doesn't paint an easy target for any sort of line of attack any of his opponents might want to make. They certainly wouldn't think to look at any State ranked statistics at any point ever.
  9. DeSantis is going after Trump like never before | CNN Politics WWW.CNN.COM Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, now officially a candidate for president, is no longer tiptoeing around former President Donald Trump – nor is he being shy... This pesky concept of impartiality and independence, let's do away with it. It's time to put the days of law and order behind us.
  10. That's right... wow. You owned a legend. One day I might make a video talking about how much that single graphics card changed the industry. One day. Anyway, cool looking RTS.
  11. SO much better. Like.....HOW does it look this good? This is somehow gripping and compelling in ways not possible.
  12. Ah yeah, well that was a major groundbreaking game in the genre at the time. Company of Heroes wasn't big on scale but it made up for it in detail, and it was one of those things PC gamers could still lord over everyone else. Did you have an 8800GTX?
  13. I'm such an old fart that it seriously impresses me an RTS can look that detailed. I remember when just having a fully 3D RTS, units, backgrounds, and all, was a huge deal. Now you have a whole army that you can zoom in on and see more detail in a single unit than what a main character had in a AAA game 15 years ago.
  14. How weird I was just thinking of that movie today. Von Braun isn't a MAJOR part of the story, at least not when I think of it. I think of Chris Cooper's excellent performance and the family dynamic between him and his son. I think the reason I thought of it today is how rocketry just didn't make sense to the conservative thinking of his father, and how in some ways that's sort of an allegory to the generational differences people face today about various societal issues. By the end Homer's dad learned to admire what he had accomplished, and it's a hopeful message (though maybe naive) about change and understanding. But also it was just directed really well.
  15. According to a comment one of the donations came from my tweet about it, so there's that!
  16. That's up to Kamusha but if this is still up the first of June I'm making another contribution. I couldn't do much this week.
  17. They're holding a gun to Target's head. If any of those threats are real, they can't risk harm to any of their workers.
