What GPU are you gaming on right now?

After only trying for about two weeks, I managed to snag a 3070 Ti from the Newegg Shuffle. Keep trying, everyone, you might just get lucky!

2 days and nobody even congratulates me on the new card and being $1400 poorer so that the terrorists don't win? Son, I am disappoint in PCCB.

Holy shit, after only trying for about two weeks I actually won the Newegg Shuffle! I got an MSI 3070 Ti and a 2 TB MSI M480 Spatium M.2 combo. $1400 for both, so only about $50 over MSRP total. $1400 is a tough pill to swallow though.

I make $50k/year in Portland, with a master's in CS. Fuck all of you.

@sblfilms Yeah, he specifically said "after years" and "huge nasty side effect". This obviously leaves some room for interpretation, but in the link you provided, it said: Again, there is room for interpretation here, but at least in my book this hardly qualifies as a "huge nasty side effect" given the low numbers. To be clear, intussusception is serious, but by comparison, peanut allergies occur in about 1 in 50 babies. And for the "after years" part: So the risk was increased within two weeks of receiving the first and second doses, and the vaccine was only available publicly for 9 months before it got pulled. (i.e. not in the trials, in which only 5 cases of intussusception occurred among 10,000 participants). This suggests to me that the side-effects appeared pretty quickly, not "after years".

If I hadn't recently built a new system with a 3900X and 1650 Super about a year ago, I would absolutely be going this route.

I'm just curious what has worked for people over the past few months: How did you actually acquire your GPU? Did you get lucky with getting into a manufacturer's queue? Win a Newegg shuffle? Camp out outside a Best Buy? Pay scalper prices? Offer a blood sacrifice to Satan? What was your strategy?

Have you evolved to no longer have height, or weight?

I'd heard some talk about how the CAS latency of the early DDR5 modules is not great so it may not be all that much better than late-gen DDR4, but as the tech matures it will pull away. Will definitely be interesting to see some numbers!

If this was a 3070 and about $700 cheaper, I would have been all over that. My 1650 Super is adequate, but a 3070?

I drive for Uber Eats fairly regularly and I've noticed this as well. Or they're drive thru only. In another update, my anti-vax brother in law tested positive for COVID Saturday after having spent the day on Thursday at my parents' place. They're both feeling fine (fully vaccinated) but he described feeling like someone was "taking hammers to all my joints". Don't worry though, he'll be fine... He's treating himself with ivermectin. My sister returns from a trip this coming weekend so I suspect she will also be catching it soon. It's all so stupid.
