  1. New Mexico dun goofed when they opted to put so much taxpayer money into this venture.
  2. This is capitalism's fault I've been told.
  3. Yeah that was cringey. Most of the live stream was as well. I wish they would just focus on the technical aspects of the flight. European Space Agency webcasts are pretty bad as well. SpaceX and Rocket Lab have good webcasts that really just focus on the mission, which is nice.
  4. Billionaire Richard Branson heads for space in his own ship APNEWS.COM TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES, N.M. (AP) — Thrill-seeking billionaire Richard Branson strapped in and set off Sunday on his boldest adventure yet — a bid to reach space aboard his own winged rocket ship. A successful flight would vault the nearly 71-year-old Branson past fellow billionaire and rival Jeff Bezos, who is planning to fly to space in a craft of his own nine days from now. Live stream:
  5. For consumer credit, start with a baseline percentage rate, and depending on how the consumer pays back (early, late, etc), vary the rate accordingly. Wouldn't matter if you are white or black or make $10k a year or $1 million a year, you start at the same rate.
  6. I practice high fat/low carb so my meat intake is quite high. I'm excited for the possibility of lab grown meat in in the future, but until then I'll pass on the plant based "meat" and stick with the real stuff.
  7. Or if Dodge advertised that their Challenger has the capability of breaking driving laws. This is the most likely reason why that lady was murdered by the alt right dude driving the challenger at Charlottesville. Chrysler should be sued for this.
  8. That chart makes the 1980s seem like a dream compared to today!
  9. McConaughey is everything that that limp wristed twerp Beto wishes he was.
  10. How does commerce work with something that isn't state capitalism (IE real communism)? What happens when the organization makes more money than what it costs to run the organization? What happens if the organization continuously operates at a loss?
  11. IE "No one with a semblance of an education or foresight would apply for this position given what's going on at the company" It actually reminds me of the Dick and Jane movie with Jim Carrey. He thinks he is being massively promoted to an executive position, but the CEO is really just doing it to make him the fall guy.
  12. If the churches were funded by the government, it's very possible that the government knew about these horrors and did not thing about them at the time too. So if anything, both the church and the Canadian government owe a hearty apology and millions in damages to the families of the killed.
  13. When will the Afghans hand over Bagram to the Taliban? Man, we really wasted 20 years in Afghanistan. If we just wanted retribution for 9/11, we would have just glassed the areas where Al Qaeda was hiding out.
  14. It's also important to point out that the meat is physically separated from the heated water with a plastic bag. It's a wonderful way to cook meat, but once it comes out of the water bath it usually looks pretty gross - you need to put it on a hot skillet afterwards to give it a nice caramelized texture on the outside of the meat.
