  1. FUCK the Space Force royally. They can continue to get fucked until they change to Naval ranks. We cannot have space armadas until they are commanded by Captains and have oversight by Admirals!
  2. I will link to the hermancainaward subreddit on Facebook threads at times, when people claim the virus is fake, or overblown, or that vaccines are more dangerous than the virus. I hope that at least one person in those threads clicks the link, reads the horror stories on that subreddit, and changes their minds. There have been a few success stories posted on the HCA, where the subreddit legitimately got people to take the virus seriously and get vaccinated.
  3. Netflix and Time have exclusive access to this mission. I'm sure they either donated a whole bunch of money to St Jude to do so, or they helped cover some of the costs of the launch.
  4. Westinghouse or G&E will likely build the reactors for Australia - both of them currently build them for US subs and aircraft carriers. I'd assume that the sub crews will receive training in the US at least initially.
  5. Good for Australia. Nuclear powered subs are probably a better option than diesel electric, considering the country's vast maritime boundaries and long distances to China. The more they can stay submerged during a potential conflict, the less likely they will be detected by the enemy.
  6. I'm a stickler for double negatives, so whenever my wife's subconscious southerness comes out, I can't help but correct her.
  7. Tonight at 8 pm Eastern, a Falcon 9 rocket carrying 4 passengers will lift off from Florida for a 3 day trip to low earth orbit. This is a significant mission as it is the first, 100% private human launch to orbit in history. It's being paid for by a fairly unknown billionaire, Jared Isaacman. He and his 3 crew members will orbit above the Earth at 575 km for approximately 3 days, conducting experiments and capturing documentary videos and photos that will be used for a Netflix special. It's also a fundraiser for Saint Jude's hospital. Isaacman hopes to raise $200 million that will be given to the hospital, and he has personally pledged $100 million toward that goal. Should be pretty cool. SpaceX has indicated that there will be more private missions like this in the future, and may be able to support 6 to 8 private flights per year, in addition to the 2 NASA flights to the Space Station every year. SpaceX's all-civilian Inspiration4 orbital mission launches today! Here's what to expect. | Space WWW.SPACE.COM SpaceX will launch its first all-civilian crew on a three-day journey around the Earth and you can watch the action live online.
  8. The minute that the CJCS or any other 4-Star tells anyone in Congress that the President cannot be trusted, they will fired, and replaced with an officer who has full confidence in the President.
  9. Saddling the family with huge pile of medical bills no doubt. But no, a 100% free vaccine would have been too much a burden. Let's bankrupt the family instead.
  10. NGL, my wife gets sick all the time, and I rarely get sick. That may be more because she is immunocompromised, and my immune system is fairly normal.
  11. And OSHA can only issue monetary fines as far as I'm aware. OSHA doesn't criminally charge companies that violate these regulations. But at ~$13k per violation, that is a good motivator for a company to enact the mandate or compulsory testing. Since the testing is likely on the company's dime, I'm sure many companies will be more than happy to tell their employees to go get the FREE vaccine and be done with it.
  12. My wife has a friend who is very anti-vaccine (and mask). Their entire family started to feel "unwell" on Thursday, but she still sent her kids to school the next day. My wife asked if she was going to get everyone tested, but they didn't plan on doing it until Saturday (today).
  13. I have one pistol that is in a quick access safe in our bedroom. All of my other guns are unloaded, and when possible, somewhat disassembled in my big safe. I'm not looking to start an uprising - I'm just looking to shoot at steel and paper targets every now and then.
  14. If you are going to have guns in your house, keep them locked up in a safe and unloaded. For added measure, you can also remove the bolt or partially disassemble the gun to further hinder it's use by children.
