  1. My back has been aching like hell the past 2-3 months every now and then, especially right now in the left shoulder blade/rib area. Turns out this might just be the next part of my Covid long haulers shit and have met a few other people with the same issue sadly.
  2. I’m only doing this because I just fired for I guess the 3rd time. First time was from a paint store where I suggested we get a scanner for helping enter/sell products in the store. Manager was an obese loud mouth who told me it be practical because it would take too long to set setup with the “5000+ items in store.” I said maybe in total product but not individual items. He got mad and said if I was so sure then I should check things out for myself. So I did, and after I did 3/4 of the store was done in writing everything out from name/item #. I got close to 600 items, wrote it all in a book, handed it to him., and told him I would finish it next time I was in. Next shift I was told it wasn’t working out and let me go (technically in probation period still) Was told by one of the girls I worked with that a scanner was later added to the store just over a month later. 2nd time was last February from Pepsi because I got hurt on the job and couldn’t return to normal full time big box store service (10-20 tonnes of work a day, on a bad wrist) So I was delivering racks, collecting invoices, and servicing Dollarama stores. Small format and not as much product to screw my wrist up with. Still hurt afterwards but not large format problem. Still it wasn’t what they hired me for and was given walking papers and a severance package. Which brings me to #3 that happen today. I got a job at a pot shop and has recently been bought out by another company called Shiny Buds. Anyways we lost 2 assistant store managers/key holders in a week to other jobs. So I was promoted to the key holder position 6 weeks ago by my store managers, told I would get $2-2.50 raise for extra responsibilities. (Opening/closing store duties, dealing with online orders and access to the weed vault) I never got that raise and I came in on days off to cover for managers. So after some runaround by a new manager I got ahold of the person I needed to talk too. . . .and had it out with him for 30min on the phone. He said he didn’t know if I wasn’t adequate enough for the position which I had done for 6 weeks, my managers didn’t ok this with him (they did, have emails) and having a key/store code didn’t mean anything. Since the buyout happen, this manager has lost his entire staff in roughly 2.5 months. So I asked on Thursday about my missing money, said I don’t deserve it because I was just a budtender. So the new manager has apparently been our store manager for the past 4-5 weeks, other manager (leaving soon with me) has been told nothing (thrown under the bus by his boss) but is on vacation starting this Friday. So I asked my boss again what I was too him, and was told a budtender again. Then I piped up and said “What the fuck am I too your store when you only have one manager working next week?” I got silence from him and asked if was still listening/there. He was and said to give him 8-10hrs to think it over. I was off yesterday and said I would await his call on Saturday. They swapped my managers between 2 stores so that his bitch (that new manager that really sucks up to everything they say, and is she is never wrong) could hand me my termination papers. She says I really wish it didn’t end this way, I walked out the back doors without looking back and say “No you aren’t” so how is everyone else doing.
  3. Matthew Good Live at Massey Hall smaller venue, great sound, crowd singing and it came out on CD Weird Al: No Strings Attached Tour Saw him in ‘19 and nothing but a sea of Hawaiian shirts. The guy sounds just like the cd’s, he was energetic, costumes and the had a 27 piece orchestra to accompany him. It was awesome The Tragically Hip: Farewell Tour I wish I could of seen Gord Downie in his prime before his brain tumour diagnosis. His voice was pitchy but my gawd the love from the crowd was mesmerizing. I don’t think I saw one pissed off person, people buying drinks for people, phone lights for Scared, and just a magical Canadian send off to one of the best. Mumford and Sons: Babel Tour Had to enter a lotto system in hopes of a ticket. Got them, took my mom (loves the band) We stood for their entire concert as everyone was in it and the band had energy to spare. Plus they introduced me to Bear’s Den, who I absolutely adore. Snow Patrol this was after Eyes Open CD. Small standing room event, went deaf for a few days, music was great and so were the little quips/stories we got between songs. EDIT NOTE: Arcade Fire: Everything Now Tour ‘19 I always wanted to see them and me and a Buddy but tickets on a whim while in Toronto to see Roger Waters (great concert but he didn’t do much of the singing) So returned a month later, got to see Broken Social Scene as the opening act (bonus) Plus the show from AF was incredible and the bass felt like it could collapse the Scotiabank Arena. Like the centre of the stadium approach, rotating box arena stage, and they sounded great. Would happily see them again

  5. I watched and if you were a fan of the cartoon series, it is an easy recommend. They have taken the Roger Rabbit formula and cranked it to 11 for cartoon characters. Some of these actors also take a few personal nudges/punches for a good joke too. I would love a reboot to happen but if not, wait until the end of the movie, I’ll take that in a heartbeat
  6. Chip ‘N Dale Rescue Ranger 3.75/5 Consider this Roger Rabbit with the dial tone stuck at an 11. The amount of characters from the various other studios at times is staggering. For fans of the show, it does indeed play on the nostalgia factor a lot and has no problems poking fun at itself either. Would love too see another movie or an actual series reboot like DuckTales got. If not, give me what is demanded at the end of the movie by another cartoon character.
  7. I didn’t think Judge and a few other big names had not been vaccinated yet from the Yankees/Bo Sox. Thought they had a loophole to get around. . . .which they still do. They can still hire a private copter to fly them across the boarder with no need for a back check and pick them up by bus from pickup location. Can still hear them copters every now and then, like as I speak being, as people escape for our Long Weekend/Summer Kick-Off season
  8. I’m surprised that they didn’t do what everyone else has been doing. Fly out to Buffalo and bus them across the boarder to Toronto. Whatever helps us I guess
  9. Can’t wait until we get to the portion when they are now being used like batteries and use The Matrix as their video proof

  11. How good is the wheelchair access for said coup? Asking (not) for a friend
  12. I have no idea either. There are rumours we will see DD in the new series Echo series on Disney+ Maybe it will be fleshed out a bit or maybe we’ll see him on She-Hulk or have some sort of setup off that.

  14. I think I know what he went through. I was working a few years ago and got a foot stuck briefly in one of the slats of a skid and got that pop sound too. I thought achilles too but an MRI a couple months later showed nothing, maybe partial tearing. It took months to get it back to normal but I had broken the same foot 20 years earlier and might of prevented a faster recovery time. So I hope they recover asap from this ordeal
  15. Well at least they got them new pills, and if there is one thing I know. People love love love swallowing pain relieving pills for anything. So setup some gumball/vending machines on the street corners and fill’em up with the Covid pills.
  16. I’m wondering where he’s gonna get his cocaine from and if he will still be allowed to the parties?

  18. I should check the doc out someday and I guess what they did with him on American Dad was semi-true. He uses his own name, drawn like him but swears he’s not the lead singer of world famous band Metallica. Yet he would break into the hits during speeches too inspire the water polo team, notice it and again swear he’s not that guy. Steve almost drowns, says something inspiring and inspires him with some song lyrics, gets his confidence back, calls everyone losers, kicks a kid in the pool and exits the stage. Great episode, now with some deeper meaning
  19. . . . and he’s called and conceded. The limp bastard is out of congress and soon to be the latest Fox News/OANN/NewsMax or whatever far right news outlet that wants him “political expert” contributor.
  20. That was a lame joke. . . . . like his legs ok, who’s next with the Cawthorne insult
