  1. If this movie, or any other movie releases in July/August... it will bomb. And if we get hit with a second wave come Fall/Winter, any movie that releases before a viable vaccine is available to the masses will bomb. There’s really no reason not to shelve these movies. It happens all the time. And since productions for the next round of movies still hasn’t really ramped up, it’s not like they’ll have more movies to compete with next year. But like someone else said above—if they really want to release this year, do a simultaneous theatrical and streaming release. I’ll pay $30 to rent Tenet if streaming is available the day it hits theaters. I’m sure a lot of other people would, too. Tenet would make Trolls look like pocket change.
  2. While I don’t do Python, I do some coding both with HTML and CSS at home and for work. I love the Atom app, which also supports Python (and many languages). And it runs like a dream on Mac OS.
  3. Should we just turn this into the WWDC thread? There are a few things I’m really excited about for this conference: Near bezel-less iMac. While I won’t be getting one, it’ll be a sizable leap forward for the iMac line (no more fusion drives, too) Airpods Studio. I’m all over these. The moment they go on sale I’m placing my order. Apple Card installments for more than just iPhones. I REALLY want this to happen right now—I have the 11” 2018 iPad Pro, and since picking up the Magic Keyboard, which is AMAZING, it’s really got me wanting to upgrade to the 12.9” model. So as soon as I’m able to get those installments, I’m ordering that and the larger Magic Keyboard. And with that, how will they continue to build upon the laptop-esque support for iPad OS 14. The trackpad is MBP-nice on the MK, and the more support the iPad Pro gets (I’m looking at you, Premiere, Logic Pro), the more I’m leaning towards using the iPad Pro for 90% of my computer needs. I honestly don’t know what more I’d want out of iOS—split screen, perhaps? I really think we’re at the point of diminishing returns for phones, both with hardware and software. So I’m up for anything new they offer on this front.
  4. Sure it’s good. Especially on Taco Bell products. That said, I’d take Cholula any day of the week. Of course, I have Cholula, but have never put it on any of my Taco Bell. So go figure.
  5. @Bacon If you want more of TLK, the series is currently only through book 8. There are 4 more books, with a 5th and final (book 13) due later this year. Get to it!
  6. “You can save everyone... but let me die.” I would be a happy person if Zack Snyder was never allowed to touch another film again.
  7. The list shows one thing to me—both men and women rate Unforgiven far too highly.
  8. Oh shit, they’ve got a bunch of Kurosawa’s films.
  9. And here all I do is walk up to people and plants trees. I’ll also randomly plant trees in really obvious and inconvenient spots when the Island owner isn’t looking. Basically, I’m the best kind of best friend!
  10. It was tricky. When you log into your AT&T account on the web (not the app), there will be a new module on the overview about “Get Started” with HBO Max. Follow that and it will link your account. Then go to HBO Max and sign in with a Provider, select AT&T, and use your account credentials.
  11. There’s two different design styles most people use in AC: • Style: chairs are placed against tables, night stands wedged against beds, items placed so that they look visually correct, but your character is unable to interact with them because there’s no space between the items. The layout is simply for show. It looks nicer, for the most part, but doesn’t allow you to “play” the game. • Functionality: This is the opposite—items are spaced further apart, and might look a little goofy visually because of the relative size of the characters in the game. But your character can more freely move between objects, can interact with items on tables, can sit in the chairs, and more or less can “play” the game. Perhaps “play” isn’t the right word—I mean it as a verb. There’s no one right way to play the game. There’s even an in between of sorts where objects are more closely placed together and your character kind of sideways hops between the objects. I say all this, because early on I made the decision about my island that I never wanted anyone on my island to feel stuck, or not know how to access a certain area. There’s also no need for vaults or ladders on my island. I didn’t want someone to get to one location, realize they can’t get through, and then have to go back and find another way. This holds true on my island for all areas with the sole exception of the second row of seating in the arena—once you get to the back there, you have to turn around. So, this goes back to the backyards. It all depends on how much accessibility you want. In my opinion, and I don’t even have this on my island, my favorite house/yard styling is a San Francisco hills type set up, where the first row of houses backs to a raised level, and the second row of houses is behind that. For the most part, side yards do the trick and look really nice, but I have seen a few nice backyards where you’re still able to see everything either because the objects are more off to the side, or because they’re placed a few spots behind the back of the house so everything is more visible. The best thing about this game is that it’s all completely changeable! At some point, I’m going to make the arena completely unusable so it looks more real with row upon row of seats... you just won’t be able to sit in any of them. And I’m for sure going to majorly fuck with my island come October with dead ends and puzzles and things that go bump in the night!
  12. For the most part there’s a small backyard. Nothing is in them because, like you said, you can’t see anything, but I have openings so you can run through any of my villager’s yards front to back and out unencumbered.
  13. https://www.hbomax.com Launches in a few hours. It’s replacing HBO Now & Go... but it’s also not. It’s essentially everything HBO has to offer, and will be the only way to access some of their content. I was looking into getting it, as it’s currently running discounted at $11.99/month from the regular $14.99/month price... but then I looked at the ways to get it, and apparently I will get it for free because my internet is AT&T Internet 1000. Here is a link that shows all the ways to get the service: https://www.cnet.com/news/hbo-max-will-be-free-for-millions-of-subscribers-are-you-one-of-them-apple-google-roku-comcast/ Be sure to check that before subscribing so you aren’t double paying.
  14. I have a metric fuckton of fossils in my storage. Are there any that anyone is missing? Or any extras anyone wants for display?
