  1. I know the perspectives are different, but do you not think Witcher 3 is similar in scope and discovery? I've been of the opinion, even if it's not my favorite game from this generation, that Witcher 3 was this gen's Skyrim in that sense, though Cyberpunk may take the cake on that due to its verticality, which to me, gives a combo of a populated lively world like a GTA city with the adventure of something like Witcher or Elder Scrolls.
  2. The Sesame Street episode when Big Bird learns about death seems relevant here.
  3. Times like this, I wish we never lost the Star Trek thread I made. It was fun going through the series with y'all.
  4. What sucks is that, there's apparently a great write-up on Reddit: But the comment that everyone loves was deleted by the person who wrote it.
  5. Yeah, some people complained that Sony supported PSVR so heavily because they wanted more traditional PS4 support, but it's like damned if you do, damned if you don't since people complained when they stopped making games for the Vita. I love the support they've put in and I can't wait until Iron Man VR. For drifting, it MAY be the lighting (other sources of light affecting the Camera sensors).
  6. It warms my heart that Georgia is doing worse against LSU on neutral territory (yet still in Georgia) than Florida did at LSU when they kept in neck-and-neck until the 4th quarter. Still tons of time left, though, so UGA could strike back in the second half. Lane Kiffin is going to Ole Miss. Wonder how long he'll stay.
  7. You got this. It's a fucking blast. Once you get in the groove after the learning curve of one cell, it doesn't seem like this impossible thing. I had the seem feelings are you -- "Whoa, this is way harder," "Whoa, is this even impossible even a cell higher?" -- but if you're getting to the final boss now, then you're progressing just fine, probably even a little quicker than I did. Plus, it's just fucking fun, so as much as I wanted to completely beat the game, I was enjoying every minute getting to the end. Enjoy!
  8. It's worth it to get the true ending just because there's a lot of game and a lot of gameplay if you're trying to get to the hardest difficulty (which each difficulty changes the game).
  9. Republicans have half of the nation's governors' mansions and the Senate and the Supreme Court. There's backlash to Trump, not populism. The backlash was to your status quo. It's also why milquetoast candidates like Biden aren't handily beating Sanders or Warren and why Yang has made every debate despite being a no-name; the status quo sucks, and everyone knows it.
  10. https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/north-carolinas-new-house-map-hands-democrats-two-seats-but-it-still-leans-republican/ The kicker: Not a great map, and not the answer, but an improvement and an example of why contributing to a movement is better than one individual running for office (aka: Stacey Abram's activism is more important than her running for office).
  11. Until the "normal" capitalists understand why people are pissed, populism isn't going away. Years of being told how things just are and why something greedy is OK and why wealth hoarding is freedom has driven me away from the American center-left lane and right into eat the rich.
  12. Welllll.... release dates for FF7R and The Last of Us Part II were revealed on SoP events, and SIE's Iron Man VR was revealed on it as well. But for the PS5, correct, they have said no next-gen news.
  13. You don't actually think it's releasing past 2020, do you?
  14. The release date was already announced in the last State of Play a few months ago.
  15. Yo, the new trilogy isn't really about the Emperor. Regardless as to whether seeing Palpatine is a real treat or if it falls flat, that's on JJ. I've loved the story of the sequels so far. Hell, the minute I read the first sentence of TFA's opening crawl, I knew I was in for a treat. Even the mothafukin' crawls got me excited, especially with no passive, "The taxation of trade routes is in dispute," sentences.
