  1. Rene Auberjonois also has the distinction -- probably not his fault since the writing took a turn the season he was introduced -- of being one of the worst side characters on Frasier. The trailer was great, but I won't be using CBS streaming for now, so it'll have to wait!
  2. My bro just got a PS4 and he's been DYING to play Horizon, which he's enjoying right now. So I decided to send him some pics of Death Stranding since there are references to Horizon and Horizon holograms. fyi, he's kind of a smartass.
  3. One that won't get a ton of mentions but easily is for me, is all the Resogun DLC: Resogun was an addictive game in its own right. The Defenders DLC made it into one of my favorite games this gen and added so much, with so many memories co-oping the shit out of it, including with some of our D1P members. I wish I had a counter for how much time I spent with the game once the DLC released.
  4. Looking back, some of my favorite gaming memories -- and some of the favorites I've heard from others -- came from DLC. Some DLC is just really lame (I'm looking at you, Arkham games, even though the base game rocks). But this decade, we've seen: Mass Effect 2: Lair of the Shadow Broker (this seems like it came out a lifetime ago lol) Bioshock 2: Minerva's Den Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare Mass Effect 3: Citadel Bioshock Infinite: Burial At Sea Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void The Last of Us: Left Behind: Dark Souls II: Crown of the Ivory, Sunken and Iron King Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove Destiny: The Taken King Bloodborne: The Old Hunters The Witcher 3: Heart of Stone and Iron and Wine Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds: Resident Evil 7: Not a Hero Destiny 2: Forsaken Monster Hunter World: Iceborne No Man's Sky: Beyond There's been quite a bit, and some are great but not even best-of-decade since some developers really gave, in some cases, a new and really amazing experience. This is just a list of some of the notable ones, but what, for you, really impressed you?
  5. Yeah, I agree with that. They're both open-world RPGs, there are branching narratives depending on the choices you make, but the approach is completely different. But as far as something nearing its potential, what would you be looking for? I read your post as saying you were waiting for an RPG to near Skyrim's potential.
  6. I know the perspectives are different, but do you not think Witcher 3 is similar in scope and discovery? I've been of the opinion, even if it's not my favorite game from this generation, that Witcher 3 was this gen's Skyrim in that sense, though Cyberpunk may take the cake on that due to its verticality, which to me, gives a combo of a populated lively world like a GTA city with the adventure of something like Witcher or Elder Scrolls.
  7. The Sesame Street episode when Big Bird learns about death seems relevant here.
  8. Times like this, I wish we never lost the Star Trek thread I made. It was fun going through the series with y'all.
  9. What sucks is that, there's apparently a great write-up on Reddit: But the comment that everyone loves was deleted by the person who wrote it.
  10. Yeah, some people complained that Sony supported PSVR so heavily because they wanted more traditional PS4 support, but it's like damned if you do, damned if you don't since people complained when they stopped making games for the Vita. I love the support they've put in and I can't wait until Iron Man VR. For drifting, it MAY be the lighting (other sources of light affecting the Camera sensors).
  11. It warms my heart that Georgia is doing worse against LSU on neutral territory (yet still in Georgia) than Florida did at LSU when they kept in neck-and-neck until the 4th quarter. Still tons of time left, though, so UGA could strike back in the second half. Lane Kiffin is going to Ole Miss. Wonder how long he'll stay.
