I love basically everything they have done I was a big backer of Golem Arcana (RIP), have met the team in person (I'm in one of their YouTube videos lol) and FYI they are the team (renamed after MS dissolved them) that did the Shadowrun FPS and Crimson Skies.

This year stomps that with better fighting games, two Yakuza games, better Zelda game, assuming better Spider-Man game, better RE Remake, better WRPG and JRPG lineup and so much more.

LOL I was planning on making this thread tonight Yes this will go down as one of the greatest years in gaming if not THE year. I've barely seen any talk of indies in here but Blasphemous 2, Dredge, Silksong (if it makes it), Mina (also if it makes it) and Gestalt should all be big hits.

Quest 3 should be lit probably Switch quality graphics but high resolution and framerate in VR. Steam Deck has amazing controls just hope to get one with an amazing screen as well. Maybe if the ROG Ally takes off a Pro model with more RAM and an OLED screen will be released soon.

Quest 3 is this fall I had to sell my Quest 2 last year looking forward to playing my VR library again. My situation with other systems: Xbox: Really like the BC but I want a price drop, more storage or a special edition I can't resist. Playstation: I will wait for the Pro and a fire sale on the failed PSVR2. ROG Ally: Almost did it for me an OLED screen would have got me (32 GB of RAM also wouldn't hurt). Steam Deck: I'll wait for the next one. Analog Pocket: Maybe!

Things aren't great but I get my settlement this month (which is MUCH smaller than it should be barely even covers my lost wages) and I want to budget in a system but don't see anything I'm 100% sold on (Will get a Quest 3 at launch though).

Ubisoft is one of my blacklisted developers and honestly this is the first time in a long time I feel like I'm really going to miss out on something.

I agree and I'm more interested in an Xbox than a Playstation right now... however at this point I feel it's worth waiting another year to see if there are Pro consoles or price drops.

As someone who is excited for Starfield I think that is a totally fair take. I'm sure Starfield will provide some more nuanced things to explore on planets but with everything in No Mans Sky has added I wouldn't see Starfield as the sole reason to get a new Xbox.

I haven't gotten into an Elder Scrolls or a Fallout but I think this is going to scratch that itch the original Mass Effect did of exploring a bunch of worlds and finding neat little secrets.

Ah, that makes sense the live service games were appropriately marketed to you Spider-Man 2 does look great but it was a known quantity going in and they didn't show any other upcoming games first party games for next year. It just felt like a giant misstep similar to the Microsoft conference last year.

The Sony conference just failed on multiple levels IMO. Maybe it's about liking different types of games but Sony just seems out of touch. There was way too many live service titles, nothing first party past Spider-Man 2 and a poor PSVR2 (which just launched) showing.

The Sony show was one of the worst I've seen in a long time and this show was a billion times better at least.

I'm thinking about getting one my PC can't play Halo Infinite or Street Fighter VI. I'm wondering how well this would do outputting those to my monitor.

I'm finally getting my settlement but I'm feeling more like I got fucked. Was looking at 300k-500k then a month ago one of the defendents came up with paperwork that got them out of it. The final defendants had liability insurance capped at 100k. My deposition was scheduled for the 19th of this month. Last week the insurance company called my lawyer and just offered the 100k up front. After the lean from the medical bills and my lawyer fee I would have been looking at 20k but my lawyers assistant talked the lean holder down so I am getting 39k. That doesn't even cover my lost wages and I still have to pay for my nice car that got repossessed Feels like a slap in the face more than anything the last two years have been really fucking shitty and I was going to use the money to move to a country with a much lower cost of living. I will figure it out with what I have but this is kicking me while I'm down... my grandmother's cancer came back two weeks ago, mom's dog that's been a part of the family for a decade is at the vet till Monday getting fluids because of kidney failure and my SO is having side pains and swelling in her legs occasionally. I'm working 7 days a week 12 hours a day and it all feels absolutely fucking pointless.

I was pleasantly surprised by the announcement. I played part of the game but never finished it time to give it another go.

Every day I have 6 F2P games I'm in the struggle is real Fortunately I have all the champs that I want in League of Legends so I don't have to play it every day Unfortunately most of my gaming is just grinding out dailies but I do get a few ranked matches of MTG Arena in a day and occasionally LoL. Every now and then some roguelike comes out that distracts me for a while but I rarely play any big single player titles now (they just don't fit time wise into my lifestyle I need days off work to do something like that and really get into it).

After that completely out of touch Sony showcase, the bad reception to Microsoft's show last year and the Redfall bomb they need to hit this one out of the park. They also aren't limiting themselves to games that are supposed to be out in the next 12 months (worked so great for them last time wonder why they would change that ). This should be the best showcase we have seen in some time!

Fuck from their showcase it appeared that anything not live service focused is an afterthought I really don't know why they bothered with PSVR2 if they weren't going to put the bare minimum effort of releasing an Astrobot sequel with it. Hell Half-Life Alex or PC support would have went a long way PSVR2 is getting the attention Vita got post launch

Damn I just watched the Quest games showcase and it was better than the Sony one including their non-VR stuff

MUCH better than 5 but runs slow on my 970

I would be way more interested in PSVR2 if Sony had launched it with PC support (they port games to PC now and had they launched with the original Astrobot for PC it would have sold well) but I have some games already in the Quest ecosystem (but no headset at the moment) I will probably get the Quest 3.
