  1. No. He was working from home. Which I'll be doing too if I'm hired. And I'm currently working from home.
  2. Yeah I was unimpressed with the way they handled it last time. But it sounds like there will be more benefits for me than just more money if they end up offering me a position. Right now I work on a team with 4 other people that do what I do and I report up to a guy who has a ton of experience doing what I do. But at this company I would be the only person. So pretty much calling the shots and building things out the way I think is best.
  3. I started a new job for a lot more money two months or so ago. At the same time I was interviewing with this current company I was interviewing with another company. They ghosted me and went with somebody else. They reached out to me again yesterday and asked if I was still interested. I told them it will take more than they were offering last time and they still asked me to interview again. Okay. Had the first interview today. I found out that they're interested in me again because the guy they hired instead of me died. From Covid.
  4. A local ISP finally came to my neighborhood and I was able to ditch Comcast and its joke upload speeds and data caps for a gigabit fiber connection with no data cap. I frequently exceeded Comcast's data cap. So, even though it's only 500 MB tops I would still be upset with that counting against my data cap.
  5. Cheaper than the gas powered model? Doesn't look like an ass clown designed it? Sold.
  6. In the religion of my youth sexual sin was viewed as "second only to [murder]". I think it's a stretch to say the Bible doesn't specifically say "masturbation" therefore it's not a sin. Its message is pretty clear as it relates to lust and adultery. That being said I don't believe in that stuff as divine anymore. Don't worry about it. The psychology and biology are pretty clear that masturbation is normal and even healthy.
  7. Though I hate to say this in agreement with an Astros fan, you took the words right out of my mouth.
  8. FDA has authorized Pfizer for 12-15 year olds. FDA authorizes Pfizer coronavirus vaccine for adolescents 12 to 15 years old - The Washington Post WWW.WASHINGTONPOST.COM Extending vaccine availability to children is considered key to achieving herd immunity, but could set off debates about vaccine mandates in school. Let's pump these numbers up. These are rookie numbers.
  9. Nuclear is the only viable stop gap to meet energy demands until renewables can do so fully.
  10. Figures that the case where I'm like 'we should probably keep the death penalty around' the guy only gets 10 years.
  11. Turns out they haven't been testing nukes but their fertilizer factories just keep exploding. That's why they have to keep building them.
  12. Without Remorse - 4/10 I love Tom Clancy. Without Remorse is probably my second or third favorite book of his. I love Michael B. Jordan. But why does this exist? I understand that creative decisions need to be made to adapt any material from one medium to another. But I'm honestly wondering why they bothered to name this 'Without Remorse' and associate it with Tom Clancy's book. Besides a character with the name John Kelly, it has nothing--and I mean absolutely nothing--in common with the book it's supposed to be based off of. Why buy the rights? Were people itching for a "John Clark/Kelly" movie or show? Outside of that oddity, the movie itself is pretty standard fare action/political thriller. Corrupt politicians, shadowy intel operatives, sacrifice paid with betrayal, some fun shootouts, etc. It's all there. None of it is terrible, but none of it is particularly memorable either.
  13. I think a lower budget movie with a bunch of unknowns and a new director beating a 70 year old franchise with a giant budget full of Hollywood heavyweights is a stomp.
