Yes! Haha. This is exactly what I remember too. He talked about planting trees and coming back to them. About severing limbs and facing the same limb-free enemy later who has grown and had his own AI experiences. Stuff like that. None of that was delivered in the final product. But it was still a beautiful, charming, fun game.

When I was 14-15 and read what he was talking about it made me want to buy an OG Xbox at launch. The game didn't come out until I was in college. I still loved it and played through it a bunch but other games (Morrowind) had already delivered more than Fable did.

Open world Halo, baby. Can't wait. That campaign looks fun. Though I think that grappling hook is going to be irritating in MP. I'm excited by a lot of what I saw in the show, but at the same time a little disappointed. We hardly saw any gameplay and this console launches in 3 months or so. That's concerning.

I watched this yesterday and that's exactly my thought and rating. The description on Hulu is appropriately vague so the first 15 minutes or so of the movie have you going 'WTF?!' (as long as you haven't watched the trailer, which I hadn't prior to viewing) and then the reveal that brings it all together is great. The concept of having this experience but pulling other people into it--and the consequences--is very intriguing. There are lots of great hilarious moments and lines but the drama and ethical dilemmas are gripping as well. My only complaint is the science-y ending. I don't need an explanation of shit; the movie is fine without it. But even that makes sense given that they show the mechanics of the situation to begin with.

Well I don't think it's a rip off of Star Trek. As the comments (accurately) point out, the logo was used by the Air Force in 1961 before Star Trek was a thing. But it's most definitely not original to that either.

It also looks like every Just Cause poster showcasing a world with different environments and artifacts to explore.

That poster alone indicates it's going to be open world. It has the same design as every open world adventure game poster ever. With a Halo skin.
