    It seems like whatever is going on with Stone must have pretty big implications, because most of the likely targets Mueller hasn't moved on yet seem to be due to them being big targets. Trump and his kids, primarily. Stone sticks out like a sore thumb in that outwardly he looks like a low level trickster that could have been indicted a year ago....and yet he's still just dangling out there.

    Right, they had a deal for his stupid wall for DACA kids, and they pulled out of it because they wanted something they rarely talk about; major reductions in legal immigration. Not surprising that the party that is against abortion, contraception, AND public assistance for poor mothers are now the party telling immigrants, "If you want to come here do it legally, which we will now make even more difficult than it already was!"

    I mean, I guess we'll see what happens but it doesn't seem like the people who made a fuss about dropping the show because of their political butthurt would be tuning in to see how Roseanne died. The only question they seemed to care about was answered when Barr was fired. For those who might be on the fence for non-political reasons(which I can relate to) I think the show did enough to convince them to keep watching without Roseanne. But hey, I guess we'll see.

    Memories are tricksome things, but my recollection of election night is that I appreciated the real time tracking of odds, but I thought it was unnecessary for NYT to punctuate every jump of the needle in Trump's direction with a Hitchcockian "ree ree ree!" as if we were all being attacked in a shower by the needle.

    I thought the same thing, but apparently the Conners debut was about in line with last seasons finale. Which itself was much lower than the series premiere, but it indicates the loss of Roseanne might not be as big a deal for the series ratings as many thought.

    Yeah, I don't know of they were playing it up for effect. While I am sure it's good for his health, Goodman has always been one of those guys that just looked better husky. And he is getting up there in age. Losing the weight over the years probably does someone no favors when staving off the turkey neck that most of us get when we age.

    McGahn leaving seems like another tipoff that Republicans sense Trump's usefulness(if not his presidency) coming to an end soon. He filled his pockets with judicial appointees and is getting the hell out of Dodge with as little legal culpability as possible(which still seems pretty high).

    Watching Roseanne without Roseanne was about as hard as I expected. But Goodman and Metcalf were amazing as always, and Gilbert....well, she did her best.

    That's such a good headline that whoever wrote it gets to look at other headlines about it and say, "That's not a headline, THAT'S a headline" in an Australian accent.
