  1. When politicians cease to respond to so-called accountability from the press, the press stops caring. They only want to act like a check on our government when it's fun. Trump sucks the fun out of credible rape accusations so they're bored with it.
  2. I would rather buy schools books and other materials than pay for most law degrees. I'd pay for medical degrees if it was paired with a sharp decrease in Medicare compensation. Forcing doctors into taking high salary jobs is a detriment to everyone's healthcare affordability. The list goes on. Canceling all student loans is a neat sound byte but it's not good policy.
  3. No, being anti-abortion is about control which is why they're *particularly* against minorities having them.
  4. It took a while for me to warm up to the show, about three seasons. But now I go back and watch the first seasons and laugh like I didn’t do the first time around. I still need to catch the up with the last season but I did watch the finale... amazing stuff.
  5. And I don’t agree that just because dialogue was changed that it was sanitized.
  6. Strange, I thought he was the only candidate who was completely consistent and always on the right side and always first.
  7. It's because the only reason that Republican party officials show up is to pwn the libs. Or in this case, don't show up.
  8. Something needs to happen. There was never a ritualized "acceptance" of black people and their descendants as Americans. In fact all the rituals we've gone through have only entrenched the idea of black Americans as second class. A big grand gesture would go a long way in correcting that.
  9. Reparations are important for monetary reasons but morally speaking it's right and proper that the American government make a big gesture to acknowledge that the descendents of African slaves are, in fact, Americans.
  10. Of course you can't, you've already demonstrated that you're in a corner and refuse to relent. If you admitted you were offended that would be the end of the game. Demanding the right to not be thought of as offensive for calling someone atypical in public without prompting is a strange hill to die on, stranger still to deny the offensiveness of other questions in a transparent and vain effort to remain consistent. Just take the L.
