I don't think I've played any Switch games that had to have more content be downloaded. Given that it is a proprietary cart, yeah you're right that they could make them any size they want, but I'm sure at that size there are more constraints, and it costs more to get more memory and speed on those tiny things than there would if they were bigger. Like if they went back to the size of the original Game Boy cartridge I'm sure they were hold more memory, and load games a lot faster easier, but I don't think anyone wants carts that size again .

I noticed in that video that they have some more (light) dismemberment now as you can see one of the troopers getting his leg chopped off, and it remains on the ground afterward.

I'm assuming the next system will use cartridges as well. Makes more sense, and more portable for a console that can be taken with you as a handheld. I wouldn't have minded if the Switch cartridges were a bit bigger though so that they could fit more memory on them as well as possibly faster, say about the size of a CompactFlash card you'd use in a DSLR camera.

Well the Wii could play Gamecube games, and the Wii U could play Wii games, the Switch just isn't backwards compatible because it doesn't have a disc drive, so I'll say the percentage chance of the Switch's successor being backwards compatible is... Wait for it... 64

Given that the Switch is a hybrid handheld/console machine, and Nintendo always made their handhelds backwards compatible, I'd say there is a good chance it could be.

Sure I think your idea of donating to a charity or other causes that help trans folks is a good idea to help counter any money that might go to Rowling, but me personally I'd feel pretty bad supporting this game after seeing so many trans people begging people not to buy this game. Morally I wouldn't want to feel like I'm betraying their trust when I do consider myself an ally; I can't just go, "yeah but I really want to play this game, and it's not like Rowling will be getting much royalties from this game". It sucks though because it is also going to hurt all the developers who worked hard on this game, including the ones who probably decided to put that trans character in the game probably as a fuck you to Rowling. It's a complicated, and frustrating situation, way moreso than it would be had this work been done solely by Rowling. I think the only time I'd get the game would be if it's ever free on PS+ so that way there isn't any money going to it, and therefore Rowling (unless that's not how free games on PS+ work, and Sony does give each free game redeemed some cut of the subscription profits).

Not that I would ever attack anyone for buying and playing the game, but reading stuff like this makes it hard for me to justify getting the game (well that and, eh, for whatever reason it never really grabbed me)
