  1. Have you played any of the games? I was late to the first game and didn't expect to like it as much as I did, especially when I don't play a lot of JRPGs. The second game (X) was still good, but really not on the same level, and story and world design dad vastly different. I have heard 2 is more of a return to form and more like the first game, and I'm looking forward to playing it as it's been in my backlog for a couple of years now.
  2. Aside from the reshoots for Justice League he hasn't directed anything since Age of Ultron, so it seems his career has been over for a while. Does seem to have a show coming out this year though, so it'll be interesting to see how that turns out with everything coming out lately...
  3. I expected Rex to get into Smash, but wondered how they would do Pyra. Tag team kind of like Ice Climbers? Final Smash only? Looks like it's actually Rex getting the Final Smash only treatment lol I thought Splatoon 3 was a Splatoon adventure spin-off title at first. Wonder if that's what they were going for with that odd intro, and that's what the single player will be like.
  4. Reading up on how he denied smoking caused long cancer, and how radon is the number one cause for long cancer for non smokers makes me wonder if my home has been tested, and has radon mitigation. Hmm. Oh and yeah, rot in piss.
  5. Where did I say it's a bad thing? If people like it fine whatever, I just don't care for it. If people are copying the hairstyles of the bandmembers that's no different from people copying the hairstyles from any music genre, or their favourite celebrity. Again not a bad thing necessarily, just an observation.
  6. Just watched this video that went into detail of the troubling history of ignoring abuse by the production company. Also while I knew Shapiro was a failed wannabe screenwriter, I didn't know the other members of his site were as well. God, what a pathetic group of men.
  7. Next Smash character for sure, and I'm betting a Zelda collection that'll limited time for some stupid reason. Probably the 3DS versions of Ocarina and Majora's Mask, with the Wii U versions of Wind Waker and Twilight Princess all bundled together.
  8. Well I'm not Korean (or a White weeaboo) and therefore can't understand the lyrics. I prefer music I can actually understand. In fact I bet that's why the middle part is popular among Gen Z, because of the raise of Kpop and Jpop in Western youth, and the middle part seems to be a popular style in Asian countries.
  9. Teenagers of every generation are dumb, so I'm not going to take much of what Gen Z teenagers say very seriously. Middle parting your hair? Sure some people can pull it off, usually if they have a bit longer hair, but for most no. I'm not trying to look like a member of some Korean boy band, thank you very much.

  11. But there are no jokes in Zack Snyder's Justice League!
  12. Let me be a bit more clear, I do not think this game will be the next Spec Ops: The Line, and it more than likely will be a shit game. My issue is more at the "Publisher X has the good sense to stay away from this subject matter". I would love to see more AAA publishers fund games that tackle difficult subject matter, and not have it always relegated to the indie scene with games like Papers, Please and This War of Mine. We still see the mentality of, "is this an appropriate thing to make a video game of" and if we want this art form to grow we need to get over this bump. Had 6 Days in Fallujah been a 6 part mini series on HBO no one would bat an eye. Again, you're right that this is more than likely going to be shit, especially with the developers being Marine Corps consultants, so it's going to be propaganda bullshit (I'll hold out hope that the game turns out to be at least decent because I'm ever the optimist, even when I know to expect better), but I do think the subject matter is one that should be explored through this medium. Imagine a day when a game can be based on something horrible like the Boston Marathon Bombing, but instead of people reacting shocked that a game would base itself on that, instead they're intrigued by how it will be told, and it turns out really well, and people are talking about it in a positive manner. I'm sure that day is still far off, but I would like to know it's coming (as long as Marky Mark isn't involved of course ).
  13. I find the "We live in a society" Joker line funny because it either shows that Snyder is not self aware, or is self fellating himself by appealing to his shitty, edgy fans.
  14. Yeah I don't get that with their events. Why have me buy the things I'm going to be earning? There is a super prize if you bring enough Rainbow Feathers though.
  15. Possible. Depends on how things turn out. If the Republican party splinters into the more moderate Republicans like Romney, and a new conservative party that's all about Trump with people like Hawley, Cruz, Gaetz, etc., but the Democrats stay together, it could allow the Democrats to stay in power, and possibly gaining power of Republican voters are split. I mean if a State goes close to 50-50 on Democrat to Republican, but then goes 50-25-25 on Democrat to Republican to Trump the Democrats win the State. Imagine Texas going Blue because the Reds got split between Republican and Trump.
  16. Is that the right attitude we should have for games tackling this kind of subject matter though? I mean obviously we don't know how the game will be yet, it might be a flaming pile of sensationalist, exploitative, jingoist dog shit, but if we take them at their word that they want to tell this story within the context of a game in a respectful manner the same way a movie would (which absolutely would not get any sideways glances), and it actually does turn out to be a thought provoking, and well done game, shouldn't we encourage that? Watch the video I posted above if you haven't. If we want gaming to mature and evolve as a serious storytelling, and artistic medium, we should welcome these kinds of games if a developer wants to make them, rather than putting up barriers going, "no that's a real life event, and you're not allowed to make a video game of that". We should encourage more serious games, while still of course calling them out if they turn out like shit (which again this game very well might, especially with the war crime accusations of the real event, which I do doubt the game will address). An I skeptical this game will pull it all off? Yes, but I'm keeping a hopeful eye on it. I would love for another game like Spec Ops: The Line. As for the "political" thing, I can't decide what I'm more sick of; developers saying their clearly political game isn't political just because it doesn't deal with governmental rivalries (i.e. Republican/Conservative vs. Democrat/Liberal), or outlets asking developers if their game is political for the same reason when they know full well it's not going to dive into those kinds of politics.
  17. One way or another they better be! Republicans have been ruining America for the past 40 years at least!
  18. Uh no it wasn't. The first instance of the chemical bath was in a 1951 comic that tried to give him an official origin story, but before that there was nothing stating how he got his look, and nothing that definitively pointed to it being makeup, so of course it just seemed to be how his skin was naturally.
