  1. AMD's new processors they are launching within a month will most likely be the go-to option 8 months from now. I would start the budget as such at a minimum: $350 CPU (AMD Ryzen 3 8+ cores) $150 Motherboard (AMD B550) $80 CPU Cooler (Very good air cooler or mediocre water cooler) $125 RAM (32GB, at least 3200 MHz but preferably 3600 MHz) $150 NVME SSD (1TB) $100 Case (Good airflow) $100 Power Supply (80 Plus Gold or Plat, minimum 650W) $700 RTX 3080 $1750 tentative total. Currently SSD and RAM prices have been falling, so hopefully they continue until next year. Power supply prices have increased because of supply issues, so hopefully that is resolved and they get cheaper next year.
  2. I'm going to eventually break down and buy a HOTAS because I can't fly worth a shit with dual analog. Hmmm, wait a minute. I just had an idea. I wonder if I can set up custom controls with the Steam Controller, or a Dualshock, and take advantage of the gyros for flying. Update: Yes, indeed you can (manually) set up the Steam Controller and use the gyros for flying. Works pretty well and is more intuitive than the default dual analog scheme for me. Annoyingly I bought the game on EGS, so I had to manually add the .exe to Steam and thus it doesn't find any community-made configurations. Also I launch the game through Steam which then launches the game through EGS which then finally launches the game on Origin And I had to have Steam in Big Picture mode to get the key bindings I wanted, but after set up and testing the control scheme works fine in desktop mode.
  3. "Therapeutics" "Bi-partisan consensus" LOL No specific mentions of events. Also there is zero chance he can talk and appear that healthy if he needed oxygen yesterday.
  4. I don't have personal experience with the game, and I can definitely agree that even at 1440p I'm not satisfied with performance of my 1080 Ti in all of my games (I like to have minimum 100 fps and not all games can do that), but when looking at reviews it's still an impressive card after all these years. Sounds like your thermal paste might have deteriorated if it's going above 84 C, probably causing it to massively reduce clockspeeds. I don't think I've ever had my card hit 80 C, and as far as I know only the Founders Edition has a shitty enough cooler on it to go above 80 C.
  5. Apparently that $70 is to basically finish the movie, from a similar spot when Whedon joined on. That's why he needs re-shoots. The cut never really existed as fans thought; it always needed a lot more than CGI implementation.
  6. The situation could swing a few people. The one-two punch of those people coming to grips with the reality that Covid does actually exist, was bad enough to force the President to the hospital, and Trump's disbelief in CV's seriousness has put other people directly in harm. Compared to doubters seeing numbers on TV about places that are far away from them, there's a more tactile, real response when you can show some of these idiots pictures of real people in real places at the point of the spread, especially when it's a person who's been in our face, visually, these last 5 years.
  7. And it's not really an attack when the Trump administration has now sent known-infected people out to mingle, without any of the precautions being utilized. They need to attack this story. This needs to be the main narrative in mainstream media. Instead, when I glance at the TV, all I see is fucking updates and doctors giving their opinion about Trump's condition. Fuck his condition; he brought it upon himself because of the decisions he made which explicitly went against the recommendations of his own experts. Trump is probably going to live, but now we're missing a golden opportunity to destroy the man's credibility.
  8. I need to see more of this in the mainstream media. Anytime I glance at the news it's some bullshit. The discussion needs to be about how the Trump administration tried to hide the positive results and let a known-infected individual(s) come in contact with other people. Fucking ridiculous that is not the story here.
  9. Hmm, not like that. Indiana apparently doesn't want universal mail-in because you actually have to give a reason - and one of those reasons is not a concern for COVID. No matter, because starting the 6th we can actually vote early in-person without needing a reason, so I'm just going to do that.
  10. Well, by infecting our entire government maybe he will actually live up to one of his promises. #draintheswamp
  11. The possibility is there because he's such a big fat liar, but you are probably right. Dems need to slam him hard and fast. "Trump and his entire organization did not take this seriously and has put innocent people PURPOSEFULLY at risk"
  12. How about getting some Proud boys to exercise their 2A rights and put Old Yeller out of his misery.
  13. Wallace did it for him though, "Mr. Trump will you condemn white supremecists?" "What, but, Antifa..."
  14. The strategy is clear for Trump: Say some shit, doesn't matter if it's true, that makes him look good, talk over the other person when they retort so the counter can't come out, then claim victory tomorrow.
  15. Fire up the conspiracy theorists: "In 2022 Trump owes half a billion dollars in debt, guess what happens if he's President when that time comes..."
  16. So, is this an honest time to actually thank Obama*? *Republican-controlled Senate
  17. Oh hell yeah. The coverage should totally be attacking him, as others have mentioned "Trump isn't a billionaire he just played one on TV". The second NYT article lays out his plan to be entirely brand-focused. Use that against him. I would also like to see people point out his big ponzi schemes, but sadly I think most people, especially his base, don't even know what ponzi, MLM, and pyramid schemes are.
