I think watermelons have become worse since they have only started selling seedless watermelons.

I use to love watermelon. I ate it often. Of course that when there were only the classic black-seeded watermelons. Then seedless became the norm and that is all I can find at the store. I hate seedless watermelon. The outside just feels like it is covered in some kind of watermelon apple sauce. There is just this weird grittiness to them. I don't even get watermelon myself anymore. But no matter when or where I have it, it just sucks.

Agreed. They never seem to ripen properly. Seeds were annoying but the fruit was so much more tender and juicy

For like 15+/- years now they have been the only watermelons I can find in the grocery stores in my area. Also, seedless still have seeds, but not the harder black seeds. They kinda look like flat smaller pumpkin seeds, but they are soft and you don't really notice them. I mean, they are clearly visible but you don't really notice them in your mouth. But whatever, they still suck and I refuse to buy them.
