AbsolutSurgen Posted October 18, 2023 Share Posted October 18, 2023 The string of bad teams the Raiders is playing early on may actually have them with a winning record after this week, and may convince some fans they aren't trash (they are). They're probably a 5-6 win team (and its only that high because of the amount of trash-tier opponents on their schedule this year). The one positive note for this season is we no longer have to deal with the "is it time to move on from Derek Carr" articles, speculation and discussion any more. We now know what its like, and so far it is objectively worse without him. One game with more than 20 points -- and that was due to a safety in the last 2 minutes against the Pats. I don't know why the Patriots were able to be as successful as they were, but everyone who has come out of that system to work elsewhere has been a disaster.
