Nacon announces open-world Terminator "survival game"

Nacon has announced that it is developing a survival game set in the post-apocalyptic world of The Terminator.

Announced as part of the Nacon Connect 2022 showcase, the as-yet-untitled Terminator survival game was revealed to be in the works at Nacon Studio Milan. It takes place in an open world, and is set between the events of Judgment Day (the Skynet nuclear strike that causes the apocalypse) and the formation of John Connor's resistance

Oh phew I first thought this means is Teyon’s next game, but I just got confused since Nacon published Teyon’s Terminator/Robocop games. This sorta thing isn’t what I would want next from that team at all. Taken away from that, could be cool.

I don't get why they're calling it a survival game. Reading the FAQ it more sounds like a narrative-focused game.


When I hear "survival" game, my interest plummets immediately because I expect a few things: punching trees, thirst/hunger bars, and shitty undercooked PvP with people far ahead of you which makes the game really uninteresting.

 

This appears to have a single player mode or 4-player co-op, both of which are story-based, with no PvP... do they know what a survival game is?
