What's worse is that gas prices are going down somewhat (not necessarily a long-term trend), and due to the negligible differences in price, it seems pointless to do this. It's like everyone talking about eliminating the gas tax (which DeSantis is doing the month before the election, but these suggestions cross party lines). It's like, man, I remember when we awarded a guy in 08 for saying the gas tax is a classic political gimmick, let's become energy independent so we're not talking about a gas tax 20 years from now.
