I like how Laker/LeBron fans are coming out of the woodwork to feast on the Nuggets bad fortune seemingly with no self-awareness that the worse the Nuggets look against the Wolves, the more it shows just how much the Lakers were never anywhere near as legit this year as so many insisted they were.

 

Yeah, Jokic is struggling because his running mate is obviously hobbled and playing like crap. So what does that say about a team that just got damn near swept by them?

The Pacers have submitted 78 plays to the NBA office that they felt went against them incorrectly during Games 1 and 2 against the Knicks, a source told ESPN.

I mostly agree.....but that offensive foul on Turner in Game 1 was definitely bullshit. Even if Turner did land with his feet set a fraction of a second after contact I don't see how you call it on that play, in the playoffs, in a league where the moving screen has become a fact of life. Every team in the league has a moving screen worse than that uncalled 10 or 15 times a night now. In terms of making the right call "for the game" that was definitely one where you play on and make the Pacers make the basket. No one wants to see a game-winning flop 30 feet from the basket....

They got lucky last night but I agree. Only thing more boring than watching Atlanta Hawks basketball is the Pacers lol

He isn't anything special in the slightest. There are a few guys going to college this year that will be one and done that are very good.

Yikes.

 

That was about as bad a close to a half as you are ever going to see.

 

Edwards hit a 3 to cut the lead to 7 at 47.5. Then the Wolves gave up a three to Caldwell Pope with the shot clock going off. Back up to 10. Then they gave up a steal for a dunk. 12. Then they just plain threw the ball to Murray for that crazy heave and bam....15.

 

What should have been a 7 point lead going into the half turned into 15.....and the Nuggets won by 8.

 

If the Nuggets do come back to win the series I honestly hope the media doesn't dunk on Edwards just to compensate for them overhyping him in the first place after two wins. Guy is on a trajectory to superstardom, but knocking out the defending champs at 22 is a tall fucking order for any player in any era of basketball.

What I don't get is why they so often rob MVP's of the award because of voter fatigue, but they give it to Gobert every goddamn year like it's just his trophy or something.

 

If they voted for DPoY anything like they do MVP Wemby definitely would have gotten it.

Knicks need to move on from Thibodeau. He squeezed everything out of 8 players until he broke all of them. He served his purpose. Time to find a coach that can continue what he started but actually use the bench and rest players.
