Goodbye Activision: Hello CoDvision

They really do have nothing else. Ignoring the Blizzard side of things, what does Activision have? Spyro and Crash, but that developer is now going to be doing CoD. Destiny said fuck off and went independent. Singularity? Sorry Raven Software but that game didn't sell well enough, and there are no second chances, now go help out on CoD. Sledgehammer, founded by the guy who made Dead Space, and could make another great action horror game? Nah make them do CoD.

Activision is going to implode, and Bobby Kotick will laugh all the way to the bank, even if he did just take a 50% paycut.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater!

A remake isn't exactly new new.

Would Sony be able to buy back the rights of Crash and maybe Spyro? If Activision doesn't want to use them it would certainly help Sony out with getting more first party IPs that are family friendly.

Insomniac and Naughty Dog are right there, it'd be pretty cool to see them return to those games.

It would, but I doubt that Naughty Dog at least would because they have stated in the past that they'd like to focus more on mature, grown up, story driven games now, ala Uncharted and The Last of Us. Still would be cool though if they expanded, and had another team go and do Crash as a break from the bleakness of The Last of Us Part III or something.

I think we can safely assume that the vast majority of those developers will be located in the "Global South" and will therefore be compensated accordingly.
