@chakoo Was it considered good? I think most people were initially excited for it, since the developers were big fans of Castle of Illusion. But yeah, the painting/thinning mechanic got old (and intrusive) quickly. It’d be a better game if they kept that to a minimum. The actual playforming and usual 2D action game stuff work pretty well.

God bless the 3DS backwards compatibility. Been playing a LOT of Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow lately. Game still holds up!

From what I’ve heard/read....yes. Sony approached Konami for this release and paid for development and publishing. That’s why it’s PS4 exclusive.

$150 ain't bad. I feel that's around how much it cost when it first came out, but my memory is a bit fuzzy. I remember I got mine for about $30 back in 1996 at a Kay-Bee Toy Store. I don't have the box or anything anymore. Just the system.

It's October, so it's time to break out the scary games. I'm starting with Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water, a title that I've started before, but then got distracted by something shiny and never got back around to. I aim to actually complete it before Halloween hits. I just hope I can stick with it and not get pulled away from it with Mega Man 11. After that, I think it's about high time I started Resident Evil Revelations 2. I've had that on my backlog for far too long. Time to rectify that.

I want to quote something from Castlevania like...a man is a miserable pile of secrets, but it's not quite fitting right. But yeah, this was kinda dumb to do, not gonna lie! If you're only going to play one Virtual Boy game, that's the one to play! Good choice. Agreed! It is by far the worst collection. But it was also kinda easy, since there are so few games. Just got a little expensive at times, mostly when it came to the infamous Jack Bros. game. How did you get a complete boxed unit? Did you have that from back in the '90s, or did you end up grabbing it years later? I see those sometimes at trade shows/conventions.

What's worse, is the game isn't even all that great. So at least the game lived up to the movie, LOL!

Thanks! I also own V-Tetris but it’s not a North American release so I didn’t include it in the photo. I’ve heard there is a mod that allows you to output the video to a TV, and even change the color scheme. Gotta find out if that is true...

It took a while, but my Virtual Boy collection is officially complete! .....man, what a waste of money, LOL.

Weird they aren’t just re-releasing/remaking The Dracula X Chronicles (PSP) for PS4. And yeah, why is this PS4 only? This should be on all systems. WTF.

Not to mention Jet Force Gemini or Shadows of the Empire. Or any of the WWF games. Though if it has Pokémon Puzzle League that’ll help ease the pain.

I like collecting game boxes, manuals, CE stuff...that’s why I like buying physical. Once in a while I’ll buy digital if it’s a game I know I’m going to play a lot of and never sell.

Nintendo Direct happening today. I don't know if it'll happen, but I'm hoping for some surprise 3DS announcements. Theatrhythm: Dragon Quest, anyone? Maybe ride on the hype of the recently released Dragon Quest XI? .....why oh why did they not just localize the 3DS version of that game? Uuuuuggghhhh..... By the way @chakoo what are your party plans if/when Persona Q 2 is announced for North America? I'm thinking toga party, personally.

Hm. Cloud saves. I’ve been gaming for over 30 years, and somehow survived without them the entire time. But now they might be mandatory? Weird.

Has Persona Q 2 been announced for localization? I’m looking at downloading Dillon’s Dead Heat Breakers sometime soon. I wanna finish off Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology first, though.

You called? The demo is pretty sweet. I recommend it to any one that was raised by old-school games, and those that dig 2D action games.
