  1. SEGA can do whatever they want as soon as they get me my new Skies of Arcadia fix. Remake or new game, I don’t care. Just gimme.
  2. Using Modern Controls makes Street Fighter feel more fresh than it has in years. It’s like learning a whole new game. I’ve actually been using them more than Classic Controls, actually.
  3. We all old now, haha. And for the record, I appreciate everyone‘s contributions to the boards here and really enjoy reading all of your opinions. And recommendations! I typically surround myself with Nintendo gamers, so getting info on “Non-tendo” stuff is very much welcomed. Ya crazy knuckleheads.
  4. Agreed. The game runs fine on Wii U. The only possible problem is that you likely won’t be able to access the DLC since the eShop has been shut down on that system.
  5. I was deathbypika back on IGN. Eons ago. Also, wow. 13 years. The Handheld Boards were never quite the same after the Vita died. The 3DS vs Vita debates were classic internet nerd garbage that...for better or worse? Don't really exist anymore.
  6. Shinobi looks pretty awesome. As does Jet Set Radio. Actually they all look pretty dope, just those two in particular caught my eye. Still waiting on Skies of Arcadia. Not necessarily a sequel, but a remake could be all kinds of awesome. Better graphics, fully orchestrated soundtrack, all the extra stuff from the Gamecube version (and maybe even more?)…oh yeah. Sign me up.
  7. Surprised by all the Alan Wake II nods. I felt it was basically going to boil down to just Baulder’s Gate 3 or Tears of the Kingdom.
  8. It’s kind of difficult to tell how the game will play, tbh. This was all cinematic, no actual gameplay was shown. The graphics are pretty wild though. What a time to be alive.
  9. Rising? Yeah that game looks freakin’ sweet. Speaking of Arc Systems Works, I wonder if I could “cheat” and add Guilty Gear Strive to my list of GOTY contenders. Since it got released on Xbox platforms this year?
  10. Some of my favorite games this year are Tears of the Kingdom, Street Fighter 6 and Mortal Kombat 1. But my personal pick for GOTY is the RPG indie darling, Sea of Stars. It just felt right, had a very cool and unique battle system, some great music and fantastic pixel art. And It never overstays its welcome. It was the only game I actually finished to completion this year, and I clocked in a little over 40 hours. And that included some (ultimately unnecessary) extra grinding. I played it on Switch and it felt great in either handheld mode or TV mode. The fact that I beat it is reason enough for it to get my GOTY since I never finish games anymore it seems, haha.
  11. My GameStop guy recently recommended this to me. My son is too old for it, but my daughter still digs it.
  12. That's not a bad thing. Recently I picked up Persona 5 Tactica and Super Mario RPG along with Spells and Secrets. And some other Indies, even though I'm still trying to finish up Sea of Stars and occasionally dipping into F-Zero 99.
  13. I mean, it *is* better, but that’s not saying a lot. The “eye-popping” visuals seem to have been patched out, at least.
  14. It is strange that they are porting over the second game without the first also getting the same treatment. When the Pikmin games got brought over, the first two came out at the same time. Why is Luigi getting the shaft?
