  1. That’s cool. That’s not many people playing it, but that’s also just Steam. I wonder what the numbers are for other platforms. Regardless, plenty of other games to play while waiting for a price drop or sale.
  2. That sounds like a Contra game for sure! But I dunno, when modern games sell for $70 (I’m not sure what currency you use) a game launching at $35 (cheaper price Contra 4 launched with back on DS) ain’t a bad deal. Of course it’s up to the individual to decide what something is worth and what it’s not. I’m sure eventually there will be a sale when the game is $20 or so. Patience may pay off in the end.
  3. I don't think it's outrageous. And it's 10% off for early release. Not too shabby. Eh...but Contra is one of those franchises where you can replay the games over and over again. Always fun for a pick-up-and-play, especially with local co-op. Maybe that's just me?
  4. I was confused at first, since I've had this on Switch for years...I misunderstood when I saw the announcement. I had thought this might have been a new release with more games from the series. But it's just the Switch/PC game now on Playstation. Oh well. This is still good news, since this may give more people the opportunity to play/collect these games that maybe haven't already picked it up/downloaded it. Yeah, but AFAIK, it's nothing too major. The game runs and (allegedly) looks better on Saturn, but that's about it. I don't think there is more content in the game, like the differences between the PSOne and Saturn versions of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. (someone please correct me if I'm wrong)
  5. You could not have made a bad decision either way.
  6. It’s too late to recommend it now, but it should be mentioned that Contra Re:Birth on WiiWare was also really good. Looking forward to this new entry for sure. The demo was great, IMO.
  7. Besides my (nearly) daily races in F-ZERO 99, I have also started Unicorn Overlord. Good times.
  8. I’ve heard a rumor that the game is developed by GoodFeel, the same team that did Kirby’s Epic Yarn and Yoshi’s Woolly World. Which might explain the difficulty (or lack thereof) and the Kirby-like vibes. Anyway, the demo was fun. I enjoyed it and my kids both LOVED it. This’ll be a D1P (Day One Purchase).
  9. Haha to be fair though, he’s playing games we have bought legit, and the fake Nintendo network is the only way to play the OG Splatoon online anymore. Emulation is not a big deal in my book. Piracy is a different story. Besides, it’s Wii U. Who cares. LOL 😝
  10. @Biggie isn't wrong, pirating games isn't good for the industry as a whole. There may not be anyone on this site that pirates, but make no mistake. There are absolutely people that do.
  11. Twice? I know they took down bleem! back in the day. And the website lik-sang. For...some reason. But if emulation were to cross to Playstation games...Sony would sue, no?
  12. I don't think anyone answered my question...but if Playstation or Xbox games were emulated and available to play for free, would Sony or Microsoft let this slide? Or would they also sue?
  13. Haha yeah I have no idea what I'm doing either. I haven't stumbled across this vendor but I'll keep an eye out for them. And I always take time to play a Switch game in handheld mode. F-Zero 99 and Smash Ultimate are on regular rotation. Okay, fair. You are correct.
  14. Alright, I played a bit more today. I went WAAAAY out of my way to avoid the horseback killer and found…that everyone in this game wants to kill me. Are there no friendly NPCs in this game?! I haven’t even done anything yet, why attack me on sight? I’ll keep exploring but this game gives off a terrible first vibe. I’m really pushing myself to try enjoy this garbage game.
  15. I'll be honest, your analogy was terrible and not even remotely the same as my experience with Elden Ring. And as I posted prior, I was going to give the game another shot regardless. But! I appreciate the thought. And as with all things...it's the thought that counts. Wow though...imagine if someone gave up on the OG Super Mario Bros. simply because they got KO'd by the first Goomba. Wild. A Goomba is far more easy to avoid than a merciless killer on horseback!
  16. Sounds really good. I'll have to try it myself sometime. Hell yeah, Potbelly's is awesome. My go-to is "A Wreck" with everything on it. So good.
  17. What the...?!? Are you goons calling me a "casual" gamer because I don't like From Software's BS? YOU'RE ALL PERMABANNED EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. Listen. I don't mind challenging games. I've gone through the OG Xbox's Ninja Gaiden. I beat Gamecube's F-ZERO GX. Practically the entire Castlevania series is my bitch. But those games at least don't pull this garbage of putting an enemy that can "stomp you into a mud hole" right up front. And the excuse of "oh, well you can just go somewhere else what's the problem?" doesn't hold water. Why is there anything near the start that can do that? It doesn't make any sense. I'll give it another shot soon. See how it goes.
