  1. I wasnt saying RT cores exactly like Nvidias I was saying AMD's equilivent to RT cores and the X has that. Also guess you missed the part where they said they were using the MOST ADVANCED form of raytracing for the minecraft demo using Path Raytracing were the computational load was maxed. DF also said that they werent expecting much from the X's raytracing just like you guys but then reported that they were very surprised buy the results they have seen so far.
  2. which is exactly what i've been saying MS came up with a better way to get the job done. I mean they wrote the api that raytracing runs on. cant believe yall scoffing at the power of this thing. It ran Gears of war 5 on all ultra pc settings at 4k 100fps and that was non optimized. and it will do BVH just just havent shown it off yet. this is just getting started they will be releasing tons more in the coming weeks
  3. Why do you guys keeps saying no ray tracing cores. they have dedicated silicon to specifically handle ray tracing functions. Microsoft Technical Fellow and Xbox System Architect Andrew Goossen added the following. When using ray tracing the system can effectively tap over 25Tflops of performance. Without hardware acceleration, this work would have been done in the shaders, but would have consumed over 13tflops alone. for the xbox series x, this work is offloaded onto dedicated hardware and the shader can continue to run in parallel with full performance. In other words Series X can effectively tap the equivalent of well over 25tflops of performance while ray tracing
  4. shit to be honest I really dont know. I've never responded to a request. I know being a shepard has its own leveling system. I mainly play solo and team up with ramdoms to do the Heoric missions. Gotta get to 40 so i can see what legendary missions are like
  5. I came to that decision on my own based off of RDNA2 but did a quick search for a link and found this https://www.pcgamesn.com/amd/xbox-series-x-gpu-rdna-2 They are basically saying the same thing i've been saying Except they are reporting they dont know the improvements from RDNA1 to RDNA2. But they are saying that the X will be 7nm+ becaue of RDNA2
  6. my first gaming pc was a commodore 64 with a tape drive. took 45min to an hour to load the game and better not have a mistake and have to start over man. But the first one i bought was a 450mz window nt machine and a Matrox graphics card Freespace 2 was prop my fav experence
  7. nice write up but you might need to redo your math. The X will be manufactured on a 7nm+ node not the 7nm that you did your lesson on. That means they will be able to pack another 20% more transitors into the apu with the available density allowed because of the node drop. Why do i believe that they will be using the 7nm+ because the X will be using RDNA 2 which is a 7nm+ feature thats how they get the 40% bump in efficiency over rdna1 by shrinking the node. Now I dont know what type of Raytracing will be in the X but what i do know is that MS helped Amd come up with their hardware solution. MS wrote the api for Raytracing. Who to say that MS didnt like the way that nvidia did raytracing and helped Amd dev. a better way.
  8. There not putting in some weak ass RTcores they are putting in top of the line. Everything about this machine is top of the line. They have enough over head to also offer hardware Sound raytracing with spatial audio. then they have the luxury of using the bad chips for lockhart which has much lower specs.
  9. also whats making the RT cores affordable for MS is the 7+ nanometer manufacturing. @AbsolutSurgen i can pull up a graph just like that for amd's performance against Intel. Doesnt have any thing to do with the current situation. Same will happen when Big Navi is released. Having RDNA2 in the console is big. It performs 40% more efficient then Rdna1
  10. Dont know why yall so full of doubt. AMD has said that thier RDNA2 GPU is going to be DISRUPTIVE to the 4k market. the gpu in the X is based on this tech. MS helped AMD dev their tech. It will perform better then raytracing on the 2080. People didnt believe AMD would do what they are doing to intel at the current moment. They are about to do the same thing to nvidia. If they can get their drivers in order they will be golden
  11. Microsoft wrote the api for raytracing they will make sure that the hardware in the x is capable of fully running the api. Ninja Theory already gave us a glimps. VRS will make the frame rate drop less when implementing RT. MS knows what they are doing and they are fully invested in gaming this time around.
  12. people always make this stuff sound harder then it is. I said a long time ago MS would come out with two skus this generation. I said they could easily take the GPU in the 1x add a ryzen2 core cpu and make that the lower sku xbox. major blunder in last gen was the Jaguar cpu's they held the whole system back. get rid of them and you have a competent gaming machine. Should I pat my self on the back now or later. I said that with the Ryzen2 cpu games would target 60fps as the standard. I was laughed at. Guess what MS appears to be using a gpu that is not even as powerful at the 1x gpu and doing exactly what I said. Execept going for 1080p-1440p instead of 4k since most people havent upgraded to 4k yet. consoles are basically pc's now. especially the MS console. Pc's have millions of combinations of hardware that dev. have to program for. Why would making games for 4skus be so difficult? It wont and the lower skus wont hold the top games back. I can play the same games on my 970 that people are playing on their 2080ti's just at a lower resolution and some effects lowered or canceled. the dev kit will do most of the scaling work for dev. It has a button for each sku so dev can test performance MS will come out swinging for the fences next gen so get ready gaming is about to be hella fun and as far as raytracing goes its a fluid technique the hardware is capable they are just refiniing the techniques on how to use the hardware more efficiently the effects on framerate will get alot better once they perfect the software tricks. Look at the gains and improvements theyve already done with the few games that are released. it will only get better.
  13. it wong happen cause there is no money in curing things the money is in the treatment. thats why Nothing has been cured in decades even doe we've had dna for many many decades
  14. your talking to a guy who can make adjustments in 5ms
