If I needed a new phone this year, I think I would probably get the Xr. I like having a zoom lens on my phone, but honestly, I barely use it. I don't care at all about 3D touch. I'm sure the Xs has a better screen, but seriously, all screens on all phones are great now. This doesn't matter much... And the real reason? It gets better battery life. And I like $250 bucks.

Because I usually don't buy the latest and greatest and physical discs are always way way cheaper. I wish I could go all digital, but I'm too cheap. I'm 100% digital on the Switch though.

I think it really just comes down to band preference more than anything. I want the silver watch with a black band, but they don't sell that. I think I'm going to get the grey one with the grey velcro strap deal, non-cellular. I'm not in any rush though, will wait for reviews and seeing it in person. Might put it on my Xmas list and see if my parents feel like splurging this year... The watch will very much be a toy for me... I really really don't need it at all. It's just another blinky bloopy doo-dad to distract me a bit while I march slowly toward my impending doom.

I don't think there is a difference in the glass. I've never heard that before and googling brings up nothing on that. I think it really is just the different band and a few extra watch faces. My 5 year old has broken our Switch for the second time, and reading online, it's going to cost me about $100 to get it fixed. He mangled the connectors inside the USB-C port by yanking it out of chargers too hard. We've also had all of the connections to our Joycons come loose twice now. Already been sent in for that problem and now both joycon connectors are loose AGAIN... That's covered by warranty fortunately. I guess I just need to bite the bullet and get it fixed, but the whole situation pisses me off. It seems to me like Nintendo did a total crap job of making a console that is able to be used daily by their core audience of children. It's a fragile and fiddly piece of shit in my opinion. I'd like to shove it up Reggie's ass. Tired of dealing with sending it back. Tired of my kids breaking everything. TIRED. Tired.

Unless they have some sort of surprise coming, this surely is the least exciting year-over-year iPhone upgrade yet. Has there been a peep about 3D Touch yet? I'm only half paying attention while I'm at work. It wasn't mentioned on the graphic with all of the features spelled out.

zzzzzz... these demos always suck. No one cares about this crap. They really need to just get to the point. I wish they would drop these stage shows and just produce a fast moving 30 minute video to announce everything. Invite the press out to watch it live and get product demos and just get to the flipping' point.

Yes, they raised the price. They didn't actually announce the price for the big one or all the models. $399 is surely for the small one. The bigger one is probably $459? Who knows for steel. Ugh. I was hoping for a price drop, but Apple doesn't really do price drops anymore. Can't remember the last time they dropped the price on anything.
