If thats what you got from that, you're being ridiculous. It was a bad trilogy that couldn't be saved by a good second movie, and carried nothing of SW except for the aesthetic.

Star wars is supposed to be fun and campy, even at its darkest (ESB/RO). They tried to make serious sci-fi, and they ruined it. Hurt my feelings? You sound like a child.

Lol nothing about TLJ was intended to be “serious sci-fi”

Look we’ve been down this road a dozen times already. Let us skip to the inevitable end...

If you didn’t like TLJ that’s a bummer but we all like what we like

If you think TLJ was a bad movie and you’re worried about bombs in space, then you are a complete and utter idiot whose opinion will be regarded as utter trash on all matters going forward.

I have not seen the movie, but I can not imagine how people can honestly like it. Looks like they just made Hop with James Marsden again, just with Sonic instead of a bunny. How do you take a premise of anthropromorphic hedgehog saves woodland creatures from robotic monsters made by a crazy evil scientist, in a crazy world with loop-da-loops built in the actual ground...and decide nah that's too weird, let's make it a live action road trip movie set in the real world...

I know they teased the Sonic world, and Robotnic getting his proper look at the end, so hopefully that is a sign that the sequel will be more in line with what the games are about.

Soooo try watching it and you’ll find out

Yay...cancel culture ruins another career, fan-fucking-tastic.

I DO NOT CARE ABOUT HER PERSONAL BELIEFS NOR AGENDAS! Was she a hell of an entertaining fighter that helped bring up the whole of the women's MMA scene into the prominence it now enjoys, YEP! Was she entertaining in the few roles that she's been cast in, and did I as a viewer enjoy those films? YEP! The buck stops there...stop trying to discern someone's personal life from the roles they inhabit on screen for crying out loud.

We’ve got our first nominee for Worst Take of 2021. Congrats!!!

WTF are you talking about “trying to discern”? This isn’t someone finding a tweet from 15 years ago. She continually broadcasts this shit over and over. And it’s not like she didn’t see it coming. She caught shit about her posts months ago. She decided to keep going while working for the single most family oriented company in the world. This is her own fault for being stupid.

I should also clarify that part of the make-good, at least for me, is that whatever they do, it must be free for people who bought Anthem 1.

Call it whatever you want, but I paid for Anthem already, you can charge again, of course, but at what cost? I won't fucking be there if that happens, and I'm one of the few who think Anthem has absolutely badass combat. Most people think the game is a total joke, if they see you dicked over the only people that supported you multiple times, well, let's just say that even gamers in their infinite capacity to be unbelievable suckers (and proud of that fact, no less) eventually do have limits on what will hype them up, as CDPR just learned. Anthem doesn't even have the benefit of riding on the coattails of a game like The Witcher 3, last games we saw from Bioware were... less well received than their hayday.

Id say anyone who has anything negative to say about the actual gameplay of Anthem has never actually played it and is mostly likely one of those idiot gamers that just follows the crowd. That game plays AMAZING. Hell even the verticality of the world is fantastic, they just didn’t put anything in it. And the story, loot and end game are a disaster. But because of the gameplay, I don’t regret the $60 or 60 hours I put into that game.

Basically Eurogamer is it.  USGamer was awesome, but as already mentioned they are sadly no more.  It actually blows my mind how bad games journalism is on the whole.  Either you have to watch an inexplicably long youtube video that has about 2% of interesting content throughout, or you have to read poorly written short articles that are basically summaries of tweets.  Popular podcasts like Giant Bomb also seem to just boil down to "this was good, this was bad, holy shit this snack is awesome".  There is nothing of any critical substance in most anything game related in my experience.

Giant Bomb has episodes like that from time to time but for the most part that’s not even close to true. You only have to go back a week to their Game of the Year stuff. That’s 15-20 hours of pretty in depth and critical content on games.

The obvious problem is that they're basically stuck with Ryan Reynold's Deadpool because of what a hit Deadpool was. Which is because when his Deadpool movie came out the Fox X-Men franchise was stagnant. The Fox X-Men movies weren't bad but it was stuck in that late 90s/early 00s idea of what constituted a good comic book super hero movie (BEAM BATTLES!), and Reynolds obviously got the material a lot better than the other Fox X-Men people did.

With the post-blip stuff in Endgame everyone came back with their memories of pre-blip life. And Dr. Strange and crew were the ones who got everyone to the final battle so it makes sense that they'd only transport in the people they already knew about.

Why would anyone want to recast Deadpool? Ryan Reynolds is literally the perfect casting for him. That would be like being excited that for a new Wolverine or hoping they recast Iron Man after the first movie.

I didn't ask, but it sounded seriously bad. In other news, I played a match a few minutes ago where 2 guys said how the blue tiger looking character is way overpowered and needs to be nerfed. So the next game I played him and got my first 1st place win:twothumbsup:

    Yeah he’s crazy powerful.

Def need them to up the quality of the skins. Part of what kept me in Rocket League for so long was how cool and unique I could make the car look. Just having different colors isn’t gonna cut it.

There are also some car specials which I have no clue what they do. I still haven't used them all. I like Hana, but still don't know what her special does. Harmony is good too.

If you press square on the character select screen it tells you what they do. Seems Blue Fang is the early favorite since his special vehicle absolutely shreds when it’s activated haha.

Only think I’m having trouble with is car jacking. In the tutorial you dodge a car and can jump on it but that never works for me. In the rare instance I get on a slow moving car I never even come close to winning the battle.

Anybody try Destruction All-Stars yet? I'm fairly neutral on it so far. The gameplay is fine. Drifting definitely helps keep you alive. Jamming the handbrake and coming to a full stop and turn will get you smashed big time. The game is pretty, shiny, and "the numbers keep going up" at the end of each round. But I can't say I'm super hooked or anything. Text can be hard to read when you are picking a character/vehicle. The skins you can unlock aren't very impressive. It's fun but I don't see myself getting hooked like Rocket League or Apex.

Same, I’ve played it and I like it but it’s not hooking me like Rocket League did. I think the unlockables could be part of the problem. I looked at all of them and didn’t get a “ohhh I want that” feeling from any of them. The skins right now are just different colors. Hopefully we get skins that more drastically change the way your character looks so you stand out more.

Moana- 10, just watched it for the 1st time no knowledge of plot or characters..Loved it, the trajectory of all characters involved took unexpected deviations to more pleasant resolutions. Definitely did not expect poultry to play such a big role. I cant imagine how Zootopia got the nod for best animated film over it (beyond Zootopias underlying racial/class harmony undertones). All the praise I heard about Moana is beyond justified

100% Moana is the best thing to come from Disney/Pixar since Toy Story 3. Just watched Coco the other day. I would agree 7/10. It’s a bit too formulaic and predictable. Also I didn’t find the music to be that memorable. Def not bad but nothing legendary about it.

The Little Things 7/10 - I miss these old 90’s thrillers so much. I can’t remember they made one like this. The acting is outstanding. Leto probably stands out the most but his character is given the most to work with. I also like that they used that same road in the dessert that so many movies use. The one where you see the car coming over the hill in the distance. Plot is ok. I didn’t hate the ending but I can understand those that did.

    Spoiler

I feel like I need to rewatch it to see if they actually left everything unresolved or if there are more actual clues and they do reveal the killer you just don’t realize it.

overall I enjoyed it. And if you like 90’s crime thrillers you’ll probably dig it.

  11. Always excited for The Show but don’t have high expectations for this year. Gotta think going from developing a game for one single system to developing for 2 gens of that system plus 2 gens of a brand news system are up a lot of their time. And they’re not a big studio anyway. Expecting basically a roster update this year.
