Perfect Dark Zero was no masterpiece but it was certainly no dumpster fire. It just didn’t come close to living up to the long development and hype because of the original. But once you get passed that there was fun to be had. But hyperbole is fun I guess 🤷🏻♂️

Jesus you guys are going on about this AGAIN?

25 hours into AC...$50
20 Hours into Demon Souls...$70
15 hours in Astro Bot...Free
Absolutely zero issues with the PS5...priceless

Is this on TV or just YouTube?

Without spoiling anything, is it possible to get Excalibur and the other special armor/weapons mentioned before the end of the game? I’m not a bit NG+ fan so it’s annoying when the coolest stuff shows up with only an hour left in the game

The more I read about the content in the game the more inclined I am to just skip it.
For one, there's the representation issue. Trans representation is more than just depiction. It's positive representation and inclusion. What the game does is either overtly sexualize trans people or stick to the binary in how they're addressed. Mostly it's the overt sexualization of it that bugs me the most. CDPR clearly doesn't get it.
Secondly, the game kindof has that same thing RDR2 had in that it just seems too big. I'm sure younger people are more eager to spend time on it the way the devs want them to, but for me, it seems that I'm just not the market. I don't wan to dump 10 hours into this thing just to get to the opening credits. That's part of the reason RDR2 is collecting dust on my shelf and I've instead been playing Star Wars and Crash fucking Bandicoot.
And the seizure thing is fucked. That should straight up be removed.
To be fair it’s only as big as you want it to be. You can certainly put 200 hours in. But I’ve read in several places that you can do the main story and a satisfying amount of side stuff and be done in 30-40 hours.
Also to whoever said side stuff doesn’t influence the main quest line. The IGN review specifically states that he mainlined the story in about 20 hours, then went back to an old save and did about 20 hours of side stuff. When he got back to the ending he had significantly more options/changes to the end of the of game.

Yeah if this is RDR2 then throw it in the trash

I know a lot of people like them but I can’t fucking stand the majority of Polygons write ups. They come off like they’re just hunting for an angle to take

Remember in the first game when guards would chase and attack you for moving faster than a super-slow walk? They should bring that back
They did haha. The “areas of distrust” or whatever they’re called in Valhalla are exactly that.
-
Yeah I miss the assassination being a big deal. The first game was cool how you had to find intel on where they’d be, the movement of the guards, shift changes and then even the escape afterwards was fun. I don’t wanna go all the way back but Id be nice if they could add some of that back in a more refined way.

Yeah Theaters will never die because they offer something, no matter how much money you spend, you can’t recreate at home. They’re def about to change though. If that means we can more smaller independent theaters or more Alamo Draft House type theaters, sign me up.

I’d guess that given that Mandolorian is just about 10 years after Rebels...Ashoka is back, Thrawn has been mentioned, AND we saw those whale things as a kind of nod...Ezra makes a lot of sense. But I agree that the kid will stay with Mando and any Jedi will be a cameo. I don’t think we see Grogu going down the full Jedi path.
Seeing Cal would also be very cool and lend even more legitimacy to the that story being part of the Canon

I’ve followed that game pretty closely and was completely unaware of all of that. Article was very interesting.

I always just assumed people who liked inverted were Gingers, left handed or both. The lack of a soul is the only explanation.

Droids.
In Legends, Dark Trooper Phase 1 were droids. But there was a Phase 2 and Phase 3 with more power and abilities.
Ahh gotcha, and they have force abilities? -
Well that was awesome!
Sooo the Dark Troopers are Robots? Based on their need of baby Yoda I assumed they were going to be like special forces that could use the force a bit. Like Inquisitors but more on the soldier side than sith side.

I haven't followed a lot about this game. Have they said whether or not a PS4 save would transfer over to PS5? If the game required you to start a new save after the game was upgraded to the PS5 version I'd be pissed.
itll transfer -
The sheer amount of money I’m prepared to dump back into theaters when they get back to normal is staggering lol

I look forward to it. I'm on 3-2 and was kicking ass until I chased a lizard off a cliff.
Took down 3-1 last night. Really enjoyed that level. Not a ton of enemies but still a good amount of suspense. I didn’t see the interesting solution to the boss though? Unless you meant the way you properly identify it? Then yeah that took me a few minutes before I noticed it haha -

All the gear is "different" and not necessarily "better". Each one has pros and cons and you're best off going with what provides perks for your playstyle. I've found the starting Raven Clan gear to be some of the better armor in the game, but may switch to the Brigandine armor once I get all 5 pieces. For weapons, the second weapon you get (your fathers axe) is one of the best in the game, alongside the blacksmith's hammer, but, again, it mostly is about your play style and not overall stats since they all have pros and cons without being "better", with some exception.
yep which I love. I hate games where I’m changing weapons/armor every 2 seconds. -

That's what I meant, I liked Brotherhood and I liked Origins, the only one in between them I really enjoyed was Black Flag.
Did you play Rogue? That one is really solid too -

It is absolutely mind-boggling to me that people still buy/play these games, there are like more than 12 of them, and they always get mediocre reviews and they get loaded up with more and more bugs and micro-transactions every year.
For those who bought Valhalla is this the first one you've purchased in a long while or do you purchase every AC game? If it's the latter what keeps drawing you into them?
Lol it’s impressive how incorrect that entire statement is -

tbh, I didn't know English was a Germanic language. O_O
But my g/f (@Keyser_Soze) speaks good German so now I know what our dinner convo will be.
Yeah it’s core is Germanic but it’s a mix of Germanic and Romance which is probably why it’s so stupid with nonsensical rules lol
The PS5 is the glitchiest piece of shit console I've ever owned and I feel like it's not being talked about enough.

Played another 10 hours since my last post. Still no issues. Also gotten about 80 total Hours of gaming and tons left to go from all those non existent launch games.
