Always excited for The Show but don’t have high expectations for this year. Gotta think going from developing a game for one single system to developing for 2 gens of that system plus 2 gens of a brand news system are up a lot of their time. And they’re not a big studio anyway. Expecting basically a roster update this year.

Lol moving them goal posts when someone pointed out you were wrong. I respect that. 
 

And if you remember overhyping universal praise for Horizon and Ghosts you aren’t remembering the reaction well at all. Horizon got slammed hard for its invisible boundaries and silly things like how the water doesn’t move a lot when you jump into it. Also people were pretty split on the combat. You had your typical “this combat sucks vs the combat is good when you into it” with the problem being you didn’t have to do all the extra cool combat stuff to get through each encounter. Ghosts got a lot of pushback on how generic everything outside of the story was as well as some annoying quality of life stuff. No one praised it as the second coming. 
 

Lets not forget, the 3 games at the top of a lot of places GotY awards are a Switch exclusive (Hades) a MS exclusive (Ori) and a PS exclusive (TLoU2). Obviously PC not withstanding.

That looks like it could be fun. There’s a part towards the end where the car gets wrecked over a pit and the driver jumps out and wall runs to safety. I think it will come down to how it controls. If it moves as well as something like Rocket League then it could be really really fun. But if it feels light and loose it’ll fade like Fall Guys

I’m essential so no out of the ordinary gaming experiences. My wife and son both got really into Animal crossing as they were both home. So I guess watching them play that every day could classify as the game that defined covid for me.

Yeah I don’t get those complaints at all. I mean if you wanted to complain about the action in the first Godzilla? Sure I could see that. But King of Monsters was fantastic. They let you see all the monsters in all their glory while also doing a great job conveying their scale and size.

Game Pass gives you everything gold has plus the benefit of never having to buy an Xbox first party game (I mean you will be interested when Halo comes out right?) You could play those indie PC games on your PC with game pass, you could totally try out a game you might think you wouldn't otherwise enjoy for a cost of included game pass.

 

The only reason to have no desire for it is to be willfully ignorant of what you get out of it.

Are gold and gamepass the same price? I was under the impression gamepass was a little more expensive?

nvm I looked it up myself. So game pass is $120 a year and ultimate is $160. Soooooo your point is for what reason? Other than to vent since it clearly offends you for some reason that someone wouldn’t be interested in gamepass. I mean let’s be honest, it’s not like MS is in the same boat as Sony and churning out “must have” first party games. I don’t think I’ve bought a 1st party MS game in two years. I buy all my indie games on my laptop and switch because I only really play them when the TV is in use by someone else. 
 

But yes please continue to educate me on how I’m unaware of my own circumstance and personnel usage of the console and should be spending an extra $60-120 a year for no reason 👍🏻

I have zero desire to ever get Gamepass and never will. I only use Xbox for my MP games. I play all my single player stuff on PS5 and all my indies on Switch/PC.

Its only weird in that you have to be standing still to aim. The actual mechanic is just like every other 3rd person shooter. I liked it, added to the tension. But then again I also enjoy the controls and static cameras in the originals too 🤷🏻‍♂️
