  1. Guess I was stupid myself for thinking people here could be better/smarter. No, I don't think this will have staying power in the media, but a more apt comparison would be to the NZ terrorist attack. The masses won't care as much about this because it's a small, poor country, full of brown people. And humanity sucks for that. We can still be saddened by other things in the world, though. We're capable of caring about multiple things.
  2. Maybe a little at the sheer shitheadedness that's going on in this thread. People died. Horrifically. Stop making stupid arguments and bringing up shit that has nothing to do with the fact that over two hundred people died in a horrific manner.
  3. Some of you people are dumb. But more just assholes. I'm still trying to understand why Notre Dame is being discussed in this thread. I guess because you're dumbasses. tbh.
  4. I'm sure the original Xbox had some good exclusives. But I only had a PS2 at that time and it's hard to really go back and look for stuff at this point on a console I never experienced or had interest in at that time. I actually tried a few years ago, but nothing stuck. We still have the Xbox, but only a couple games, because I just couldn't get invested in stuff on it when I had no prior connection to it.
  5. It's a spear with blades at both ends and it break apart. She was also insistent on it. It's gonna have some big role to play.
  6. I go with the games that interest me. I've never been interested by any of Microsoft's exclusives, it's really just that simple. Since I'm a PC gamer, too, they've never had many true exclusives, anyway. If that somehow changes and they get good exclusives next gen, I won't ignore that. That just seems like a dumb thing to say.
  7. I'd be sad/pissed to see Jorah die right after Sam gives him Heartsbane. Tormund is awesome and also pretty much the last Freefolk character of note. I hope he survives, especially being fortified with GIANT'S MILK. Berric just seems like a throwaway character at this point and with Thoros gone, I see him being gone next week. I just wonder where they go from next week's episode. If they get decimated, then what's left to fight the Night King? Also, Arya's new weapon has to have some significant role to play.
  8. God, I love Tormund. Kept thinking, "I'm not supposed to be laughing so much at this show." I don't wanna make too many predictions on who's gonna die next week, but I think Theon is a safe bet. I'm afraid Grey Worm, too. I think some characters, like Jon, Dany, Jaime, The Hound, Tyrion, Arya, Sansa, etc. have too much plot armor and they'll survive next week.
  9. Great works of art can just be replaced. Someone can always paint a new Sistine Chapel or Mona Lisa. Who cares if the Gutenberg Bibles burn? We can replace them with newer copies! The Pyramids of Giza crumble? Easy peasy to replace with today's technology.
  10. Something about ancient Egypt was just way more appealing. Seeing the pyramids, the Sphinx. I just enjoyed it all more than ancient Greece. I preferred the story and characters in Origins, too. I really don't think you can go wrong with either, though. They're both highly acclaimed games. I'd say just pick whichever has the setting that appeals to you most, because they're both really similar in terms of game play.
  11. Really good episode. Lot of good character moments in these first two episodes. I know next week will be epic, but I'm not ready for the character deaths it's gonna bring.
  12. I don't know why people are even talking about Notre Dame in this thread. I was upset about it, but obviously mass casualties in a terrorist attack is more upsetting.
  13. Origins. Odyssey is good, though, I just need to get back to it.
  14. Doesn't matter how powerful it is. Microsoft just doesn't have the exclusives. That's why they'll never get my money.
  15. I've actually not played the Phantasy Star games. We have all four of them, but that's more my husband's doing. He likes them. The setting just never appealed to me. I love, love, love Shining Force, though. We played the two on Genesis and Shining Force CD together. I keep bringing it up that we need to start 3, since we have all three games(SF3 Scenarios 2 and 3 were only in Japan, but they have fan translations), but we keep putting it off. Gonna do it soon, though.
  16. If you'll notice, I said I love Shining Force. But that's two strategy RPGs compared to all the traditional turn based JRPGs on SNES. I have the Phantasy Star games, too. But there's just no comparison in the RPG department. As for SoR, you're entitled to your opinion, but you're in a small minority. Sorry, you lose this one
