Everyone knows what this game will be. It will be a buggy mess that's disappointing at launch as people find more and more of the false promises or outright lies that Todd Howard made. Eventually after a million patches it will still be a buggy mess but somehow still a very enjoyable experience because the whole outweighs the sum of its parts. It's been the same formula for 20 years, aint nothing changing now.

A little surprised to see how well this is doing based on the (imo) uninspired demo we got a few months ago. That said I'm happy to see an old school RPG do well. Also hyped for Sabotage Studio with the success of the Messenger & now this hopefully they'll have a big budget available for their next project.

If it's even just a slight improvement over the first game it's going to be an amazing game. My only real complaints about the first game are the perks/progression system were a bit weak/boring and the weapon/class variety was also a bit boring. It seems like they've made it an emphasis to improve both for part 2. Really looking forward to this one.

Nice, motion blur sucks. The first thing I do upon booting up a PC game for the first time is turn off motion blur (and bloom it it runs on UE3) Idk what the new control schemes look like but it's a shame they weren't implemented before I got used to the one I'm currently using, will be a long adjustment period.

General Gaming I'll be the judge as to what your favorite game is -_-

Not liking the entire game because of 2 mostly ancillary characters (beyond the first 5-10 hours) is a pretty horrible reasoning. That's especially true when all the other characters are so good.

First review is good. 2nd reviewer opinion is immediately invalidated for not liking 12 for having "annoying characters" 0 chance he played more than a few hours. Not liking it is fine but 12 has the best characters/story/voice acting in the series.

So yeah still pretty early on in the game but combat is really starting to click. The story has been very predictable yet still quite engaging. I'm really enjoying the ride and the dialogue cutscenes while a bit too frequent for me personally aren't overstaying their welcome or making me bored, I think the pacing is actually quite good. The Eikon battles are epic. They really struck the right balance with them.

I can't read like 90% of this thread because I'm only like 15 hours in (was in the process of moving) but I'm loving it so far. The story has been pretty predictable to this point but it looks and sounds so damn good that I ain't even mad.

Steam sales just ain't what they used to be... This will be like the 4th one in a row where I don't buy anything.

The game would look incredible if it ran without hiccups and you could turn off motion blur. I've been pretty vocal for many months about how great this game was going to be (and so far it is) but it definitely runs a bit worse than I expected. Definitely looking forward to the PC release.

What control scheme is everyone using? I'm only like 4-5 hours in but I switched to B & it feels much better. Charging you sword and magic at the same time is awkward as hell with the default scheme.

You should always bring something when invited, it can be Pepsi, just don't show up empty-handed. The host probably isnt going to judge if you don't but it will be very appreciated if you do. Entertaining gests can be expensive & time consuming. This show is still fantastic & holds up incredibly well save for the few episodes which would be completely solved by having a cell phone.

It's definitely overpriced I think all CE's are, it's why I never buy them. I actually like the statue because Ifrit has been in every game since FF3 & Phoenix since FF5. I don't own any other statues unless you count amiibo. The only CE I slightly regret not buying is Elden Ring.
