  1. Yeah it takes a bit longer. I forgot the name of the mission but it’s a base attack mission coming up a little later where the game skill checks you and then doesn’t let you advance too much without matching levels.
  2. This actually sounds like it came together a bit better than I thought! Happy to hear performance/IQ seems good in the final product. Gonna watch that DF video later and get hype.
  3. Well, after using the instant level 10 bonus the deluxe version came with I was able to actually win a match in one of the special matches in the mycareer mode. Still can’t beat a tournament match (playing on very easy!) so gonna have to get a lot better! Definitely a high skill ceiling here. Also while 24 isn’t a lot of pro players what I do appreciate is there are actually tons of courses. The gameplay itself feels great ngl, just going to have to get better at it and remember it’s not VT.
  4. I think Prototype is still pretty fun and if you have a decent pc from the last 15 years or so then it should run at 60fps. The sequel might be more fun to dive in to these days but both are silly fun. Infamous could really use a remaster for 1/2 that runs at 4k/60 would love for them to do the whole trilogy like that and make it on pc too. Those first two though, that era of gaming was a bit rough. Second son/First Light still look good to this day and run at 60fps/1800c on ps5 though and I think are still a lot of fun. If you are looking for some dumb fun I’d also highly highly recommend Wanted: Dead.
  5. idk it’s hard to say since AMD denies they even have them :P They seem completely random. Probably worth the $5 to get dlss3 for this one imo.
  6. I wish the ridiculous main character design wasn’t a thing and they were just a normal character as I find that the least interesting part of the game yet it seems to get 99% of the attention. The combat seems great, it seems big dumb and explosion-y with large set pieces and then kind of a Nier Automataish desolate but cozy sci fi world. Leveling up seems like it will be good here. Thats the stuff I’m more interested in.
  7. Also don’t worry @Phaseknox I’m doing the myplayer mode in the woman’s league
  8. If you can find it for cheap I’d say pick it up to check out the graphics. You might like it at least at first but also might check out of it quick once the difficulty ramps up - it’s a hard game on it’s easiest setting especially if you aren’t going out of your way to level.
  9. Yeahhh the game makes you wait to see the full view of its technical splendor. Dont forget to unlock the actual max settings. It starts off pretty strong and I think has a lot of really great highs and is worth playing but man it has some anti fun BS forced mechanics. I would recommend playing on easier than normally you would to cut back on having to search for particular items in order to stay competitive against enemy’s.
  10. I played a bit last night and it’s pretty fun yeah. I need to play a lot more and get much better at timing though. It definitely wants a bit more out of you than Virtua Tennis does, especially with timing. Or at least, it’s more obvious about it. I was getting my ass quite handed to me on very easy still in the my player mode. Though very easy exhibitions where you pick an actual player are easy as expected. I haven’t done any mini games so far that are as inventive as the VT ones (don’t forget this is not the same series as Virtua Tennis World Tour) but idk how many there are so maybe some are more so. Just some basic stuff like stay in this box while hitting the ball to this box. Theres lots of leveling up to do for better or worse since that is likely where 2k will 2k and get grindy to entice you to buy improvements with real money. The tour here has you going month by month and each month you have a mini game, a training, and a tournament. You get retries but if you fail all of them that is it you just need to move on to the next month. I can’t comment how it plays out but I could see it being a bit addictive. Steam deck support isn’t there out of the gate which is a bit disappointing too though it seems to run okay, it’s just glitchy, so maybe that will be fixed by actual release. Graphically I guess it’s the best looking Tennis game yet, for what that’s worth but honestly I expected a bit more from Hanger13 especially with the character models. My initial impression is that it’s not quite up to Virtua Tennis Vita’s high bar, but it’s something that is pretty close to it and will scratch the itch until Sega gets to it.
  11. Nope - idk if there will be one or not and it’s more of a B movie silly kinda thing and the IQ is actually pretty decent at 60fps anyway! So this will be my first ps5 game of the year.
  12. Ok yeah this is a massive improvement over the backbone and especially the original kishi. The grip and the feel of the gamepad is massively improved and it feels more like an actual controller. The dpad is actually usable. Buttons feels good. Triggers feel fine if not spectacular. The gamepad doesn’t shake around the phone, not even where the connection is. I hated that in backbone and kishi. It just feels and looks solid. It’s a lot bigger but worth it. And yes, it works just fire with my case on. That is the biggest thing here as it makes it infinitely more usable imo. I haven’t played with its fancy haptics stuff but I don’t care that much since I don’t figure much of anything will ever support it. You can also use it connected to a device via usb c and play it that way which is nice. It’s $150 but I’m sure like the original kishi it will be on sale for $100 and at that price I would say it’s a good buy.
  13. Counterpoint: This isn’t real and is actually a microchip created by Bill Gates to infect us all with the woke mind virus
  14. Starfield Bleed 2 Armored Core 6 Returnal Ys9 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) Vampyr Suicide Squad Mario vs Dk Penny’s Big Breakaway Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake Horizon Burning Shores Princess Peach Showtime Pepper Grinder Alone in the Dark 2024 - Very cool game! You definitely want to just play it on easy and not bother dealing with the combat as it’s really not worth getting invested in that part of the game. It’s best approached as an adventure game with some shooting elements to keep the tension up. Not unlike Alan Wake 2, but with more combat and worse mechanics! But it’s a beautiful looking adventure that gets really varied and creative with its visuals and locations. For a haunted mansion game there sure is a lot of locale variety. The story is breezy and fun and the game can be damn scary at times as well. Ending got real weird, kinda seemed rushed a bit there. I’m curious if things get more fleshed out if you play as the other character, I’d have to think the story would play quite differently unless they just swap the characters stories. The puzzles are fun and a good balance between keeping things moving along and not being completely brain dead. The atmosphere is off the hook. Solid 7.8/10 for me - definitely recommend it for adventure genre fans at $30 or so.
  15. One thing they need to work on with the interface which for the most part is outstanding is there needs to be some way to solve how you aren’t always going to be looking literally directly at the thing you are trying to make contact with and interact with the entire time. Like, sometimes I’m clicking on something and after that I’m looking away but it seems to want me to stay looking for a second longer or something sometimes. Also there is no mouse support, which is kind of wtf for something they are selling as a spacial computer. It did work when I mirrored my macbook to it, which is the main reason I wanted the bluetooth m/k I got but I was hoping I could use it on moonlight as well and like in Office apps.
  16. man having to wake up tomorrow morning and go to work sounds absolutely DREADFUL
  17. Starfield Bleed 2 Armored Core 6 Returnal Ys9 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) Vampyr Suicide Squad Mario vs Dk Penny’s Big Breakaway Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake Horizon Burning Shores Princess Peach Showtime Pepper Grinder Sonic Dream Team - more like Stepee Dream Game am I right. This was very good. Sonic is definitely in the best place it’s been since the genny days. This is a great take on 3D Sonic and has the kind of art style that I wish Frontiers had. I really hope they can at least find an in-between for Frontiers 2. But yeah this is a lot of fun and now with a new zone, more levels, and more coming soon, it’s a decent amount of content too. 18 levels but each level has multiple goals and can be remixed so there’s a lot to do. I got most of the emerald or whatever things besides the boss time attack ones. Im definitely happy to see Cream playable again. Also the Knuckles/Rogue gameplay is a lot better here than the Adventure games as it’s much snappier to glide around. Some of the stages do a really good job of having you switch between the different character types and that’s probably when it’s at its best. It’s way too good of a Sonic game to be apple only so I hope when they are done adding content and whatever contract expires they release it on steam/console as well because it definitely deserves that. It would be an absolute tragedy for Sonic fans if this went the way of Chuchu Rocket Universe on Apple Arcade and just vanished forever.
