  1. The firmware just came out this month, IIRC. Rtings.com tested it.
  2. I doubt it would change my opinion of him being one of the better users here. The trolling I mentioned wasn’t regarding that thread, but regarding PC gaming.
  3. That thread was too much for me before it even got to page 2. I don’t want an aneurysm
  4. @Greatoneshereis probably one of the best posters on this forum. He came back and got driven away almost immediately - tried to explain why he left and had people trolling “that’s absolutely not what you said” and arguing with him. Some of you stating that people need to be more self-aware are the very ones who need to do so. Post like a condescending dismissive twat towards someone then wonder why there’s no discussion happening.
  5. I’d hold off until you can go for the P-series, the M’s aren’t great, though they do support VRR. The TCL is way better than the M series except for the lack of VRR support: it’s possible that the 2021 TCL 6-series will be full HDMI 2.1 which would make it the best value alongside the Vizio P-series. Simply put: you’ll regret an M-series Vizio long-term if you could’ve waited a few weeks/months to get a MUCH better set. The 2020 M-series supports VRR, afaik.
  6. My favorite conversation was with someone who got angry that they should wear a mask and stated something to the effect of “oh, right! And should we wear masks when we have the flu or a cold too???”’(sarcastically) and didn’t know how to respond when I replied “yes, absolutely. People in Asian countries like Japan have done that for over a decade now and it’s reduced deaths from influenza. It’s about protecting those around you.”
  7. @Remarkableriots https://www.bestbuy.com/site/vizio-65-class-p-series-quantum-series-led-4k-uhd-smartcast-tv/6416449.p?skuId=6416449&irclickid=R8vy4KSrOxyOWNO0MKVSfWfHUkEza0UvPzoywM0&irgwc=1&ref=198&loc=IGN &acampID=0&mpid=1442478 On sale, full HDMI 2.1 features for your PS5, better picture quality and better response time (less input lag) over the TCL 6-series that you were looking at from what I've read - the only negative is that the VRR only works up to 60hz; shouldn't really be an issue beyond that hz anyway, as the biggest benefit with VRR is making an unstable 60fps (dropping in and out of the high-40s and 50s and back to 60) appear to stay smooth - it helps with screen tearing as well when vsync isn't enable but the "smoothness" it provides is it's primary benefit, IMO. It's probably going to stay around this price through nest month.
  8. This is what I think of in regards to screen tearing: What’s going on in Valhalla is a little different and not akin to ST I’m used to seeing on other games I’m not saying it’s not technically ST, just that it’s definitely different
  9. It’s mandated in NJ too, there’s still people that refuse to wear them and attempt to enter businesses - these are the people I’m referencing, not the ones wearing them begrudgingly.
  10. No, screen tearing doesn’t roll up or down like a bad signal on an old tube TV. At least not on PC. The image literally tears in places and jumps back, doesn’t roll around.
  11. And that took an extreme: a loss of a loved one. Which is sad on a lot of levels. I meant have you had a mask conversation that changed an anti-maskers mind recently? Back in April/May, I changed several friends minds, including business partners, mostly by explaining how it works: the long incubation period where you can be contagious without symptoms and how the mask reduces your aerosol spread (and not that it’s primary purpose is meant to stop you from breathing in the virus). At this point in time, the people I’ve attempted to have that discussion with is like talking to a wall. Edit: what I’m stating is that, in my opinion and anecdotally from my personal experience, those who were skeptical but willing to listen have long since realized the benefit of wearing a mask. The chances of finding someone willing to listen at this juncture seems remarkably low compared to 6-months ago. Does that make the data worthless? No. I was commenting on NYT being a rag
  12. Unfortunately, I don’t believe those people exist anymore in regards to COVID due to Trump politicizing things like masks. I made mention of something similar earlier (regarding finding value in the article if I believed it would change someone’s mind).
  13. Wow. There really is a lot of screen tearing on the XSX (well, it’s not really screen tearing, it’s more of a horizontal line of pixels shifting and rolling up or down the screen). Really makes me wish I had a HDMI 2.1 TV
  14. Do you believe that article regarding already known data would have changed someone like sblfilm’s mind regarding mask mandates making a difference? *this isn’t a loaded question
  15. Again, I don’t disagree on the importance of the data, I disagree with the emptiness of that article
  16. Pushups (vary flat, decline, incline), crunches, get a pull-up bar, rows with a broom handle between two folding chairs, body weight squats, lunges, bulgarian split squats
  17. Got mine yesterday. The controller is way more comfortable than I thought, though, I haven’t actually played a game with it, just fiddled around with it. Chromecast is an absolute shit streaming box. WTF, why is it like this and not just a normal friggen Android box? Awful. For free, I can’t complain, but, yeesh. Anyway, time to cancel!
