  1. Well yeah that's a normal level of skepticism. Who knows if it's even true, or another lie Trump is telling his followers to rally them up?
  2. I'd buy a mug of his mug shot. Hell I'd buy multiple. Would make great Christmas gifts for my conservative family.
  3. Replace tears of sleeping birds with "tears of MAGAts when Trump gets taken in", and this is also how I subsist.
  4. Not that this will shut up the critics of AI art, but I think this is a good compromise.
  5. Using that metric, for me it goes: Was it fun? Your points are the same as mine. I love seeing the TIE Interceptor in action again (one of my favorite Empire ships) but what I thought was going to be a brief aside with the scientist carried on way too long. Was it good? Again, the action scenes bookending the episode were well-done, and it's really amazing how good CG looks in a TV show setting these days. The rest, while they did a suitable job in moments helping you feel the tension that was building in Pershing, the editing was lackadaisical and cinematography was merely functional. Did you like it? At best, the world-building is interesting and it gives you something to chew on while in the shower. But overall the segments bookending the episode could not redeem it for me.
  6. Yeah I agree with that. This one should have stayed outside of The Mandalorian. That being said....maybe there's a big payoff somewhere with this, but as we've discussed many times with Disney+ shows, the journey TO the payoff also needs to be enjoyable.
  7. So uhhh... I guess he did just fall in. This episode was....something. I don't know what they're building towards here, but this was a VERY slow, off-shoot entry. "Risky" is about the most charitable thing I can say about it.
  8. Nah that's not the same as winning it from him in one on one combat.
  9. Even if they weren't recorded in the analog days, the quality of the DACs used in studios to convert to analog in order to make these vinyls are going to be leagues better than digital files being played out of integrated DACs in people's soundbars or mobile devices. Yeah no I don't see that happening. A clean vinyl with competent needle will rival the best digital recordings in quality. Right now there's only like one or two cassette mechanisms still in production and they're all low-end compared to vintage 80s and 90s gear. That means lots of hiss, very little detail, and overall piss poor listening. And yes, even regular consumer standards for quality have risen. Audiophiles lead the charge for the vinyl resurgence and an expanding range of higher quality earbuds and headphones also forced Apple to improve their transducers.
  10. Indeed. I used to buy CDs occasionally if I wanted high quality rips, but now Qobuz fills that role for the vast majority of music I'm looking for.
  11. Wow three quarters of the physical media revenue. Can't believe it's a billion dollar market now!
  12. It doesn't SOUND dangerous on paper, but I guess youngins were binging too much on it.
  13. What a cliché. The most homophobic and anti-LGBTQ+ people are actually in the closet themselves.
  14. This is Star Wars. EVERY BODY OF WATER HAS A FRIGGIN MONSTER IN IT. If only the characters were more self-aware!
