  1. They're really banking on on the courts saving their asses it seems, lol. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/for-trumps-party-of-health-care-there-is-no-health-care-plan/2019/03/30/b4005bd0-5264-11e9-8d28-f5149e5a2fda_story.html?utm_term=.2aa356fe8151 Republicans have no intention of heeding President Trump’s urgent demands for a new health-care plan to replace the Affordable Care Act, fearing the potential political damage that such a proposal could cause in 2020 and hoping he will soon drop the idea, according to interviews with numerous GOP lawmakers, legislative staffers and administration aides. Not only is there no such health-care overhaul in the works on Capitol Hill — there are no plans to make such a plan. Senate Republicans, who were caught off guard by Trump’s rapid shift to focus on health care last week, said the White House would need to make the first move by putting forward its own proposal. But administration officials said nothing firm is in the works. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) — acutely aware of the perils that health care poses for Republicans — does not intend to wade extensively into the issue, senators and aides said, even as Trump has revived his fixation on a campaign promise to eliminate former president Barack Obama’s health-care law. Nor does Senate Finance Committee Chairman Charles E. Grassley (R-Iowa), whose panel would be central to any such debate. When asked whether the two Senate committees overseeing health-care policy are planning to draft a replacement proposal for the Affordable Care Act, Grassley responded flatly: “No.” “Obamacare is something that’s not going to be replaced unless the courts would declare it unconstitutional,” Grassley said in an interview. “You won’t know that for a long time.”
  2. Hes going to make sure theres an actual emergency at the border. https://www.cnn.com/2019/03/30/politics/state-department-aid-el-slavador-guatemala-honduras/index.html The United States is cutting off aid to the Northern Triangle, otherwise known as the Central American countries of El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, the State Department told CNN Saturday, one day after President Donald Trump said they had "set up" migrant caravans for entry into the United States. "We were paying them tremendous amounts of money. And we're not paying them anymore. Because they haven't done a thing for us. They set up these caravans," Trump said Friday. "At the Secretary's instruction, we are carrying out the President's direction and ending FY 2017 and FY 2018 foreign assistance programs for the Northern Triangle," a State Department spokesperson said. "We will be engaging Congress as part of this process." On Wednesday, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen signed what she called a "first of its kind" regional compact agreement with the Northern Triangle countries aimed at preventing irregular migration, combating criminal organizations and ultimately helping with US border security. Trump threatened to cut off or substantially reduce aid to the Northern Triangle before saying in an October tweet the countries, "were not able to do the job of stopping people from leaving their country and coming illegally to the US." But experts have said cutting off aid is likely to increase the number of migrants leaving the countries and heading for the United States.
  3. So I did a stronghold on gm2, got a legendary out of a chest, and can confirm bosses no longer drop as many masterworks, tyrant dropped 3 purples and 1 MW. . All in all though I got 2 legendaries today in about an hour and a half of play, which is better than I got all last week, though I scrapped one of them.
  4. A gun and most likely tannerite is just the Murica weekend package.
  5. You guys overestimate the reach of the right wing media, I think we've reached a point where all they're hitting is the true believers anyways, and people just really don't like Trump, as polling on this issue is essentially his approval. https://www.cnn.com/2019/03/27/politics/cnn-poll-mueller-reaction-exoneration/index.html A majority (56%) says the President and his campaign have not been exonerated of collusion, but that what they've heard or read about the report shows collusion could not be proven. Fewer, 43%, say Trump and his team have been exonerated of collusion. Although Mueller could not establish Trump or his campaign "conspired or coordinated with" the Russian government, according to Barr's letter, the poll finds the American people continue to view the issue through partisan lenses.
  6. Yeah this is what I mean, in some states they are paid quite well especially in the NE, so they should allow those states to pass it on to support staff who aren't paid nearly as much. For reference my head mechanic has worked here 40 years and makes ~55k, thats teacher starting salary here, and their current proposal with insurance increases would actually net a lot of our members a loss over their raise proposal, lol.
  7. Because the GOP is clearly the party of competence? https://www.axios.com/kevin-mccarthy-trump-republican-health-care-affordable-care-act-432a5c5f-71cb-4db7-bab5-a7d55aac59ad.html?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=twsocialshare&utm_campaign=organic McCarthy told Trump over the phone that the decision made no sense — especially after Democrats killed Republicans in the midterms in part over the issue of pre-existing conditions, according to two sources familiar with their recent conversation. As Bloomberg's Sahil Kapur points out — health care was the top issue for 2018 midterm voters, and voters who cared most about health care favored Democrats over Republicans by more than 50 percentage points. Show less The big picture: McCarthy is far from alone in his view. Multiple GOP sources — from the most conservative to the most moderate wing of the party — have told Axios that they can't fathom why the president would want to re-litigate an issue that has been a clear loser for Republicans. A senior House Republican aide texted: "Members feel like [the Mueller report announcement] was great and Trump stepped all over it that message with the Obamacare lawsuit announcement." They’re also exasperated about Trump’s substance-free declaration that Republicans will become "The Party of Healthcare.” Republicans aren’t united on health care, and they have been unable to advance a replacement for the ACA.
  8. Right, i should also add education level also increases base pay up to 1200 a year, as well as being paid for any additional teach or coaching you do for school organized activities. Then Pensions, healthcare ect... but support staff are lagging and the district is dicking us around.
  9. These takes are pretty annoying, hes consistently polled where hes at steadily for a year and the only time it ever really changed was the shut down when it plummeted, and his lowest was during the healthcare debacle which he is now wading into aimlessly again. The GOP was handily defeated in November despite the base showing up, and Russia being almost non existent on voters minds.
  10. Yeah, thats not good, thats what they start at in my district but raises are handled by their union negotiating every few years and right now its 3% a year, and starting salary increases by typically half of what the negotiated raise is so starting salary is also constantly increasing.
  11. Federal government is already deep into education, and accounts for 30% or more of school budgets, and you can guess which states are on the high end of federal dollars as a percentage of their budgets.
  12. I'd be down if states that already meet a pay requirement could use some of the money for other education issues, or other school staff besides teachers. We have a serious problem with keeping bus drivers or attracting people to drive under the age of like 55, and constantly are short staffed requiring mechanics to drive busses because of the turnover.
  13. Upstate NY, Binghamton, and i'm maybe 15 miles from the station, I know why they're binghamton temps are fucked, because they use the airport, which is further north and elevated, but no reason to give predictions like last week showing a map of everyone getting 4-7 then getting nothing just like the weather app said, lol.
  14. Why do local meteorologists suck balls? My local guys always say its going to be colder than it is, or predict more snow than whats going to happen to the point where i ignore them completely and rely on the weather channel app.
  15. I have the religious right to allow my child to spread a potentially lethal virus to all!
  16. That seems really stupid, no one is killing the bosses to get more MWs, almost everyone i get is scrapped anymore... As it is they should remove blue items from the loot, and add a auto scrap for everything below masterwork, the whole way they did the loot is garbage.
