  1. Greene keeps alive campaign to oust Johnson and warns against new push for Ukraine aid | CNN Politics WWW.CNN.COM Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene bluntly warned Speaker Mike Johnson on Wednesday that moving ahead with an aid package for Ukraine would be one of “the most egregious things he could do” as she said... Crazy is fun until it bites you back
  2. I don't like discord but I have it because some ppl insist it's the best and won't respond anywhere else.
  3. I need a new 56kbps modem, any recommendations?
  4. Damn bish a picture is worth a thousand words Congrats
  5. Tesla sales plunge far more than expected | CNN Business WWW.CNN.COM Tesla posted its first annual drop in sales since the first year of the pandemic, as increased electric vehicle competition from Chinese and Western automakers ate into demand.
  6. Also keep in mind COD was the mover of the Xbox 360. Buying COD exclusivity was probably the dream. COD 360 titles are still no1 even on current gen(gamepass):
  7. Phil is like Dak Prescott, a symptom of a larger issue that can't be fixed.
  8. This is what major third party publishers (all of them) would tell employees anytime anyone asked about making something original. They'd shut down the conversation saying being a Public company meant they couldn't and so we had to create sequels. (I think it's bs from unimaginative people that can't envision trusting someone else or don't understand creativity.) When they made an effort they'd grant the permission to buddies they trusted who also lacked imagination but loved being camera facing and power. Then flop flop flop the workers would get chopped.
  9. That's what I thought was weird when Xbox Original came out.. I was like... but you already have a gaming platform monopoly, why are you trying to compete with yourself? Imagine if they had made a Steam before Valve? Instead we have the lol Windows store way too late.
  10. Yeah 100% The Seattle comment is there's a culture there or promising FT to people but they have to "prove themselves" as Temps first. Then they just milk people until you're one of the lucky ones to make the cut or you leave. They hardly ever hire anyone before making them do the temp bs regardless of seniority. (Exec/Sr Management excluded.)
  11. Not to give too much away but I worked with a Sony... place and everyone was a temp (I wasn't). It felt like a herd of cattle with everyone keeping their heads down/afraid of giving an opinion for fear or getting sent to the meat grinder. I hated we treated people that way and bailed 8mo later. I saw all the people like me yukking it up having a great time being the bosses of scared people. Fuck that. Disgusting.
  12. Btw this stems from the Seattle tech culture, it relies on temp roles. There are people who work for companies like Microsoft (doesn't have to be games) for a year, the contract expires, they take 3 mo off and come back year after year. No retirement plans, few health benefits, etc.
  13. A consistent theme across Microsoft studios! What could it possibly mean!? Imagine blaming yourself!
  14. Sounds risky, our shareholders won't like that. We have a duty and are regulated to be consistent. That means we can't invest in new IP or ideas without shareholder approval.
  15. Neither here nor there but I get headaches from construction 3 blocks away when the vehicles are moving around/digging. It isn't audible but it's a low humming bass in my ears that works it's way into my brain. As soon as they're done for the day it's gone. My wife doesn't feel it at all.
  16. I'll just leave it at a certain type of personality tends to promote a certain type of personality and it's endemic.
  17. Over time game dev has gotten more and more specialized and complex. The only ones who haven't evolved are project management/executives/directors. Games don't take forever because of slow grunts, they take forever because of visionless management & leadership. My prediction is ai just creates more opportunities for these people to waste resources and time.
