You are probably spot on in your analysis. But it's still bad optics to cancel these leases. Instead of being able to say to the public that the Federal government is opening up all of this land to exploration (even if oil companies aren't biting), the administration and their Democratic allies will have to defend this move, all while prices are near all time highs.

So if it's at the center of the Milky Way, does that mean we (our solar system) is orbiting around this particular black hole? If so, that's pretty cool. That's also good news as that means it won't ever cross paths with our own part of the galaxy. And even if it had that possibility, it's so far away that it's laughable to even worry about. We are more likely to succumb to nuclear warfare or an asteroid strike before getting swallowed up by a black hole. And yeah, people like Scott Manley on youtube should have some really good content on this topic.

My doctor prescribed me Paxlovid yesterday, and I'm 2 doses in, and I'm feeling pretty good! I'm sure a part of that is just naturally getting over the infection, but some of it may be from the effects of the antiviral medication. It's pretty neat how it works. My wife is the real MVP though, as she had to call all around town to a pharmacy that actually had it in stock so my doctor could send the prescription in.

CEB: Have you caught COVID?
mclumber1 replied to CitizenVectron's topic in The Political Re-Education Camp
We had a mandatory vaccination policy at work. There was a process to get an exemption, but only a few people were actually approved for the exemption. I'm pretty sure they were patient zero for the outbreak at the office last week. -
Agreed. It's pretty incredible how these people only have a spine nearly 2 years after Trump did all of these heinous things. They had the power and momentum to get rid of Trump, especially in the wake of January 6th, but they failed to act. Although I do appreciate they are talking about these events, it's way too late.

A former shipmate of mine who is a Trump supporting chuddette is upset that roe is being overturned. Like, what did you expect?
