  1. I like the idea of rotating Justices. Judges from the various circuit courts would sit on the Supreme court for a period of time. The only permanent Justice would be the Chief Justice. As far as how long a Judge would serve on the high court - 1 year. And as far as they would be picked - randomly selected with the equivalent bingo machine.
  2. I'm not sure banning specific weapons would make much of a difference. Most shootings (and mass shootings) occur with handguns. As far as red flag laws go, I would have liked to have seen language in the bill that guarantees that the accused will have legal representation provided by the government and due process afforded when the guns are seized. The court's recent decision on NY's concealed carry law does offer a glimmer of hope for gun control advocates though, as they court ruled that guns (and gun owners) can still be regulated, as well as the fact that governments can create (and enforce) "sensitive places" where the carry of firearms is prohibited.
  3. Taking violent action on this is just as shitty as the right taking violent action when they don't like something - IE January 6th.
  4. My company is also committed to paying for travel expenses and whatnot for women to travel to other states if the need arises.
  5. 30.06 signs also carry force of law on their own from what I understand. Not only can a person be kicked out for trespassing, they can be prosecuted for violating the 30.06 ordinance. In many states all law enforcement can do is ask you to leave because the business doesn't allow guns. That's the way it is in Nevada.
  6. Sure - but it would still require you to go out and purchase a printing press and all of the supplies needed to print what you wanted to be distributed.
  7. Freedom of the press? EDIT: Freedom of speech also, if you are using a computer to post on the internet.
  8. Unless an amendment directly conflicts with another, they have equal weight. sbfilms is right, the only remedy to your issue of them being equal, is a repeal of the Second Amendment
  9. That's not what I gather from the ruling. NYS can have a licensing scheme, but they can't make the denial process arbitrary. Basically, the court said if NYS says that if you meet XYZ requirements to own/carry a firearm, then the state cannot deny you a permit. Most other states that have a concealed weapons license program do it this way.
  10. FBI seizes Nevada GOP chairman's phone as part of fake elector investigation WWW.8NEWSNOW.COM FBI agents served a search warrant Wednesday on Nevada’s top GOP official, sources tell the 8 News Now I-Team.
  11. The lake is currently dropping about a foot a week. The lake is currently at ~1044 feet, so it's technically in the inactive pool stage, which means power generation is in danger of no longer being produced. I somewhat question this 1050 foot mark, as I think this would be a bigger news story right now, especially here in the Las Vegas area. Anyways, I'm really enjoying the videos coming out of this youtube channel. They do a good job documenting the actual physical effects of the lake dropping.
  12. Growing up, most of my friends parents smoked. It was pretty normal. Even my parents smoked (they still do). However, I had a horrible experience at a sleepover at a friend's house one time. After waking up the next morning, my friend's mom starts making pancakes for us. While we were sitting at the table waiting for her to cook the pancakes, she's chain smoking over the oven, and she kept the ashtray right next to the pan - flicking her ashes into the ashtray, but from my vantage point, I could see some of the ashes falling into the pancakes. I ate the cigarette ash seasoned pancakes. And it was probably more of a mental thing than an actual physical reaction to eating cigarette ashes, but I started to feel horribly sick. A bit later, she drives me home, and I proceed to throw up the ashcakes all over the back seat and floor of that 1989 Chevy Celebrity. I remember her being very upset and wanted me, an 11 or 12 year old kid, to clean up the vomit. That's a grownups job! You don't make a kid clean up their own vomit! Anyways, it's one of the reasons why I think smoking is so gross.
  13. lol, I've had a continuum of IGN boards, Bad Cartridge, and D1P for 20 years. Someday I'll be telling my great grandkids about how a noted Canadian heyyouDVD would regularly orgasm to anything Republicans would do in America, and other sordid tales from the years I've spent on here.
  14. Yeah I know. The cops killed a black man over cigarettes. The more we tax or outlaw tobacco, the more often these types of incidents will happen.
  15. Black market cigarettes will be harder to restrict compared to other drugs, because they'll look and smell the same as legal cigarettes. It will also be just another item the cartels will gladly sell you, extending the war on drugs further, making more criminals out of users in the process when people are ultimately caught buying black market tobacco. I though liberals were smarter than this - I thought they understood that the war on drugs was a huge mistake, and have learned a valuable lesson. Nope. Just as dumb as conservatives when it comes to drugs.
